I wouldn't think much of the "generic" monitor, the important part is that the graphics driver is installed properly - preferably with DDU first to uninstall it and then reinstalled later
i really installed it successfully
Then restart the PC and see if the resolutions are back
Then proceed with DDU in Safe Mode and try reinstalling again
