the drive is pretty old i think so it could just be on its way out but i think this is more a windows issue

Seeing a RAW partition is most of the time worrying, if there's no sensitive data on it I'd completely wipe the partitions and see how it behaves

if i delete the partition it still displayes as 2 sections

it was only raw cause i didnt format it yet

i just wanted to save time and see if i could somehow join them

i just had to convert it to a gpt disk
