No voice call software is open
any other software controlling the microphone?
I don't think so, I went deeper into the audio settings and unchecked a box that allowed other software to control the audio of the mic
That setting sadly doesn't really work well
Can you show me the list off apps running?
Where specifically?
Right, is there a specific place I can screenshot or an app that shows everything in the background?
Win + R and type in "taskmgr"
Task Manager
screenshot above
thank you, can you also screenshot the remaining tasks?
are you sure, its a very long list?
yeah
what's voicemod?
A voice modulator application
can you exit that and check if the microphone stays the same?
Okay i ended that task
Still stuck
Shure MV7+
are you using the application by shure for it?
because it looks like the microphone has auto leveling, which might cause this
I do have it downloaded, but I turned it off. But yes, it does have Auto Leveling
Maybe if I turn that off?
try it
did that work?
Gonna try it now
That did it! I had the Gain locked on that end and it was stuck at 31 in the volume settings.
Wow!
Thanks so much for the help, I really really appreciate it! Seriously
