Hello there!
Long story short, I upgraded to wins 11 from wins 10 pro a few months ago. But, I deleted my backup files of wins 10 after the installation of wins 11. Therefore, I couldn't perform a rollback to wins 10. Recently, I noticed noticeable bad performance of wins 11. So, I'm willing to install wins 10 pro back. The actual issue is that my previous wins 10 pro was activated and had a valid license. So. my questions are as follow:
1- Where can I download wins 10 pro back?
2- Will I have to pay for it again even though I have valid wins 11?
3- If I don't have to pay for wins 10, will it come with a valid license allowing me to upgrade to wins 11 later when I want?

Thanks in advantage!

1, If your computer is a laptop, it's predicted that no matter where you get the ISO, you'll get Home by default
2, Windows 10 ky can be used for Windows 10 & 11, but not opposite
3, In case of your Microsoft account has already logged in in a Windows system with Pro key, when yu relog in using that same account, you'll get the activation back

  • It's recommended to keep your payment information & histories to avoid unintended situations
  • You may need to get back to 11 soon, as Windows 10 is dying in Oct 2025

So, there's no way to downgrade to wins 11 without paying for it if I no longer have the license?

So to counter what has been said

the installation media for windows 10 and 11 will install the edition that matches the OEM key installed in your system (if it has one), if that is a home edition key, it will install home. If that is a pro edition key, it will install pro. If you have no OEM key stored in the devices UEFI / ACPI Table then it will come up with the edition selector where you can then pick what OS you want to install.

That behaviour is the same for both laptops and desktops. If you were to have an OEM home key on the device but wanted Pro, you can let the installation install home then upgrade by entering your pro key / licence / entitlement in the activation setting of windows. (You may also be able to force an edition by building your own ISO and only including the given edition in the build)

as far as i'm aware, consumer and OEM windows 10 and 11 keys / licences / entitlements still both have upgrade and downgrade rights to one another

unless anything has changed recently, all the above is still correct to the best of my knowledge and you shouldn't have to pay anything to downgrade and use your pro licence on windows 10 for the time being

And where can I download/install wins 10 back? Is there a website for that?

you will need to do a clean install of the operating system which requires a USB with at least 8GBs capacity and will involve wiping your entire boot drive
