I got this pc from my mom who told the pc has periodically blue screen errors and indeed it had.
The blue screen error used to reappear within every 10min-15min and sometimes even less at the point I couldn't even use the pc as I want.
So I reset the hard drive (an SSD of 953Go) and reinstalled Windows 10 22H2 , activating the windows by the way.
The blue screen error seemed to have vanished, I used the pc from morning to night and now it re-appeared and has become persistent again and I re-did the whole reinstallation. And the result was the same ( after many hours of manipulation within a day), the blue screen re-started.

In order to better understand the root cause of your BSODs, hangs, or crashes, please answer the following questions.
1. What is the bugcheck code it crashed with? (It'll be something like SYSTEM_SERVICE_EXCEPTION or PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGED_AREA)
2. Is this the first time it happened?
3. Did anything change shortly before the BSOD occurred? (Installed some software, connected a new device etc.)
4. If repetitive in nature, how often does it happen?
5. What version and build of Windows are you on? (Run winver to check)
6. Have you made sure Windows and your drivers are up-to-date?
7. Are any of your components overclocked?
8. Is this a laptop, desktop or another device?
9. Has your machine encountered any impacts, water damage etc. recently?
10. Have you checked that your machine is sufficiently cooled? (Clearing dust, replacing thermal paste etc.)
If possible, please also complete the following:
1. Go to C:\Windows\Minidump and upload the newest .dmp file to the chat with your answers.
2. Open Event Viewer go to Windows Logs > System > Save All Events As and upload the .evtx file to the chat with your answers.
3. Open msinfo32, go to File > Export, then save and upload the .txt file to the chat with your answers.
With emphasis on uploading the dmp files
- Critical Process Died (the last BSOD showed that)
- No
- No, Nothing Changed, except I was playing a game or Navigating
- It's indeed repetitive and it occurs like every 15 to 20min, sometimes it can takes 30min.
- Win 10 22H2 - Build of OS is 19045.4780
- Yes, I have.
- Negative, They are not.
- A Laptop
- Negative.
- I cleared the dust only.
I can't find C:\Windows\Minidump
What are they?
We're more interested in these: https://rtech.support/docs/factoids/bsod.html
But thanks for the event viewer, helps too
There is no Minidump folder
Oh... I'd try to remove some RAM sticks (one at a time) till the issue goes away or not
I already tried that
Removed one at a time and still
the issue didn't go away
What is your PC model number or motherboard model? At best, it's a disk driver issue
my disk is an SSD
the PC is a Dell
I don't know the model number
Download this, it will tell you whether it's an OptiNutrition or an Inspiron: https://www.dell.com/en-us/lp/dt/supportassist-for-home-pcs
the motherboard model doesn't help too much here unfortunately, only with custom PCs
Merci
Okay, this is a new record in amount of storage drivers.... Let's keep this simple and run the updater
ok
that event is a warning
it's nothing concerning..
@gleaming rover one of your latest events contains an NMI whea logger
this actually can related to cpu iirc
my cpu has 12 core and I activated all of them via
no idea how does that relate to what i just said
@gleaming rover
- Go here and download it https://github.com/Spec-ify/specify/releases/download/v1.4.0/Specify.exe
- Run it as admin
- Click Start, then wait
- On the browser and website it opens copy and paste the link to this channel
This retrieves no personal info
It just gives relevant info which are dump files, system specs, etc
Make sure to accept the thing related to dump files, pretty sure there's prompt that asks you it
why are those checkeed?
in no reason those shud be checked
they limit your shit
They were unchecked so I checked them
why?
now my pc can use its full power
they shud be unchecked
no it is now limited
...
your pc uses full power if it wants to, depending on your power plan and load..
those checkbox limits your cores and how much memory is allocated
uncheck those shit and save the settings and restart...
and stop touching something you dont understand..
Ok I'll uncheck if you say so
here is the page from microsoft edge
idk if you can access via the link above
That NVMe drive is going to need to be replaced, I suggest you back up your files if you haven't already
?
Are u telling I need to replace my SSD drive?
My hard drive?
I just got Kernel Data Inpage Error
ye
Do you think the error is from my hard drive?
I might need some help here
At the down left part with the 2 blue bars
Is that a place where I can insert an HDD?
.
I have a fully working HDD from my 1st PC
I'll insert that into this pc
If you search your exact laptop model (it's on the sticker) and disassembly on YT, you'll find a guide on how to access the SSD/HDD port.
Installing Windows to a HDD will be slow, but usable.
.
I connected my HDD but when I launched my pc to check it
But when I launched the pc, it showed only the SSD drive
My HDD has already win10 installed in it
Why doesn't it show up on the pc ?
Nb: that HDD is on mbr and my SSD is gpt
Idk if that plays a role in this
Disconnect the SSD and test only the HDD to see if it works (
Remember to mount the HDD properly as it's fragile)
Among all these shits, I don't know where is the SSD
That's the problem
Use a disassembly (video) guide for your specific laptop model, they detail all the placements
This is a brand new install and you have static core set along with a memory limit?
static core was changed after linking specify, I hope
It's on the specify
