From about a week or so my laptop's screen goes black for 2 ish seconds when I plug it in/disconnect it from the power source and it switches to and from battery

It didn't do this before, not sure if its hardware or software

#

I updated graphics drivers but it didn't resolve the issue

mine does the same thing, im not sure, but its probaly because the laptop updates the refresh rate, when not plugged in the laptop most likely uses a lower refresh rate, and if the refresh rate is at a higher state than when plugging it out it will turn black for some seconds to update the refresh rate.

If u open settings System > display > advanced display and update the refresh rate manually the screen will turn black for some seconds.

It still happens with no like apps running

#

Im not sure why it would chose to update the refresh rate now when it was working fine before

#

For now its an assumed software issue

The solution is to make sure all your drivers are up to date, to do that, go to device manager, then display adapters and see if something is not fully updated

But still, i dont understand why it would randomly have to turn to a black screen when it previously made those changes without flaws

I finally found the problem

#

Something broke my settings and the refresh rate does indeed change from 144 on plugged back down to 60

#

I have no idea how to fix it though since uh this just resets to 60

#

Refresh rate overrides my settings when changing power source

Honestly the issue was so stupid but I resolved it
