Can you help me?
Wdym by drives
It was working as usual until I resetted my pc
I think you were told by 2 people to not do a reset...
You can try to reinstall the WLAN/WiFi driver from the motherboard or PC manufacturer page
How do I do that
Drivers can be downloaded from one of the two:
- If it's custom built, you can download it from the motherboard manufacturer's support page: ASUS, ASrock, NZXT, EVGA, etc
- If it's a prebuilt or a laptop: From the manufacturer's driver website like MSI, Lenovo, Dell, HP, Acer, etc (Using the serial number or the full product model on the sticker is very helpful here)
I bought a used pc from eBay
So what is that?
you tell me, does it have a brand logo
I think I’m missing WiFi drivers
That's a step further. Does it have a model number on a sticker somewhere?
No
But I’m using a Ethernet rn
To try and fix it
Which spot is for Ethernet?
any of the LAN ports (not WLAN port!)
@elfin oak 👋 so you said in your dm that you fixed your problem—do you still have internet now, even after you unplug the ethernet cable? if the wifi button is still gone after unplugging it, you might not have the wifi driver yet. please do know that wifi and internet are two different things, like i mentioned the other day
yes i have wifi now
everything is back to normal
okay, awesome. you said you're having issues with sound now? can you tell me more about what's wrong?
i cant hear anything
can you show a picture of the right side of your taskbar? like where the clock is, bottom right corner of the screen
i cant click on it
but i checked earlier and i couldnt drag it to the right
can you show a picture of what you're trying to click on?
how do i send pictures
my pc is kinda messed up after resetting
with your phone or press Win + Shift + S to take a screenshot to copy and paste here

Do I have to restart my pc
yes
Will it get rid of my WiFi again
yes restart, and no it won't get rid of your wifi—a restart is different from a reset/reinstall
ok will that fix my sound>?
it's trial and error, so we'll see
okay, so you have a sound driver now. im not entirely sure why clicking it doesn't work though.
can you open Settings again? on the left i think there is something about sound, or you might have to click System first
want me to screenshare
i can't join vc right now, but you can send pictures here
under "Choose where to play sound," can you click Speakers? then see if your sound works
OH I CAN HEAR NOW
