Hello, Microsoft support, I seem to be having a problem with my Computer, I don't know what caused this to happen but after downloading some things off the internet my laptop has become severely laggy, and laggy to the point where I can't play games or run processes like discord without massive lag spikes, even while writing this it has become laggy. Before I could run many processes at a time without any lag, I have 32 gigs of RAM and I was barely using my CPU. I tried booting in safe mode though there are still lag spikes, can someone please help me I don't know what to do.

You may have gotten an malware since you was downloading stuff form the internet
Try to do an full pc scan whit Microsoft defender
And send the results of the scan
I wouldn't recommend a russian AV.
Asides from that (viruses are likely not the case), this issue could quickly become a hardware issue
It might be
i was downoading a game
though it seems many others downloaded it from the same source
my specs are fine
That will take a while, for now I will resend the issue in the tech support channel and get back to you as soon as it finishes
what specs
do a full scan with bitdefender and malwarebytes
so as hitman pro
kaspersky, eset
1 sec
Running them all now, Hitman Pro & Malware Bytes Finished
what the hell are these programs?
C:\Users\gjami\Desktop\Games\ULTRAKILL.v2024.05.13\ULTRAKILL_Data\Plugins\x86_64\steam_api64.dll, wth is this? are you cracking?
what is this
I dont even know
it seems like a trojan
that was a while ago though
does just deleting it work?
no
damn
go to that path, and see if that dll is there, drag and drop it to virustotal, and share the link here
or i cud just do it automatically using frst
no it isn't
fine then
Download can be obtain here - https://www.bleepingcomputer.com/download/farbar-recovery-scan-tool/
- Once installed
- Run it and when the Windows smartscreen shows up
- Click More Info
- Click run anyway or keep anyway`
- Then in the FRST window, click scan. Let it, it might take a while
- Once done, upload the FRST.txt and Addition.txt to the server. The location should be in the same location as where FRST is.
Note: This is a legit system scanner that is trusted, if you think it is a virus it is not. It's false positive
nah, i can do it, once i know the path of where they are when you send the frst logs
tho the hitman pro one just showed bunch of false positives
oh mb
https://www.virustotal.com/gui/file/ecc9a3b09c204cf231d30dfa599d72fdea48ab3608a70bc3e96226c730593bac
VirusTotal
yea
even with the trojan my laptop ran
fine
still an issue though
big issue
Btw the scan has finished
and i think that mozglue one is also a trojan
Ah, I dont even know what mozglue is
all of that file has of mozglue dll execution parents are full on red with multiple detections
so it cud also be virus
even tho it isn't flagged here
Hmm
You think this may be the issue for the lag?
Because these files have been here for a while i guess.
You also said i cant just remove them, right?
also wth is this
well there's your answer
your laptop is filled with files and trojans making it slow
that's normal to happen even without the trojans
Hmmm
Ok
Is it norma to happen even after the trojans have been here for a while?
they have been her for probaly months
all the same files and barley any new ones
why do you crack shit?
i mean if you do that you are just asking for malware to party with you
that is true
though I apparently dont do enough reaserch
I crack because of money
I cant get a job
Though it seems like it has come to an end
I apologize for my inconvenience, I appreciate your work and help. It seems as though my own greed has ruined me.
I just have 1 more question please, how do i remove it all?
i linked you to it
you nuke your windows
i cud remove it manually, but that's a waste of time
and im lazy so i dont do it

Nuking windows removes it all right
yes, all your files
Is there a guide?
i linked you to it above
What if i back up my laptop, would that work, or would it just copy the trojans aswell?
Im stressing out right now
Thank You For Your Time And Consideration, I Appreciate It All.
I will leave this unsolved though
in case there may be another way.
@drowsy ridge It seems as thought tampering with it all has upset it, randomly applications and files completely deleted off my computer, then whatever was left was highlighted in red before I shut it off on my own
Does that sound normal
Please
I’m sorry
Best practice is nuking Windows when there's malware involved...including any precious files.
But you choose whether to live with the risk of still being infected or backup some of the unique files and do a clean install: https://rtech.support/docs/installations
Thank You man, though it may be to late to backup anything, the malware deleted most if not all of my desktop files, then it highlighted whatever remained in red, I decided to shut down for now,
😔
Thank You For The Help…
I'm sorry it happened.
Thank You So Much, That Means A lot
It is actually good. Found everything on my laptop miners, etc
adwcleaner is also good
I just can't recommend it in good conscience if it's russian. Whether it's Kaspersky or Dr. Webb... They probably clean well, but serve other purposes too.
mayabe for safely recovering the data you should ask to an pc repair shop, mayabe they can still recover the data but im not sure if they do that, you should try to ask them
Thanks Man, It’s To Late Though
