288 messages · Page 1 of 1 (latest)
I got a Lenovo Ideapad Gaming 3, which I just need to boot and start downloading some apps for work
I could purchase a license later if that’s something I can do
hello
Here you are :)
what does the message say?
I have a USB with w11 on it (should be)
Bruh that’s unfortunate
Goes to this screen
ah i see
you are missing a boot device or it failed
Oh that’s even worse, I thought didn’t spill on the pc 🥲
Missing most likely
try go to boot manager
you need a new boot device or recovery media
try that
I have a usb with the installation assistant thing on it
Is that what I should connect?
When connecting it, the pc starts the installation process
Then I get to other messages, but wanted to start troubleshooting from the roots so you know anything you can
No need to worry, I’m thankful for your help
try connecting the usb
btw what is the model of your laptop
Lenovo IdeaPad Gaming 3 15IAH7... https://www.amazon.it/dp/B0BWFPC5H2?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share
nice
USB connected but I can’t change the boot device from this screen
can u send a picture?
if u got any message
what does the thing say u clicked on, the quality is a bit low
did u try restarting your pc?
Ok it’s booting, this is near where I got before asking help
At least I know I did everything correct up to this moment
what does it say?
Ok it’s asking for the product key
you can skip the product key if u dont have one
Which I didn’t buy, is there any way to just boot it and then get one?
click this
did you had important files?
Nope, it’s brand new
How do I do that?
Listening
Idk what driver are they and you talking about
That’s my issue
Can’t understand what I need and where
did u click on the red button?
Btw I entered the troubleshoot menu
I’m here
crap
How unlucky can I be lol
go back to advanced options
There again
Nvm haha
click on startup settings
wait
i see
system image recovery]
send an image if you got there
Nope :(
hmm
if i cant resolve the issue, you have to buy a windows 11 dvd and then try it again
But I didn’t see one
go back to troubleshooter, send an image if done
just keep sending images after u did the thing i said
click on the arrow on the left
troubleshoot
try uefi
Directly booted here
which one did u click
oh yeah. reemmber this
I do, shall I just reset now?
did u try this?
I can see what happened
try to reset your pc
im losing ideas
because its not working
Try what? More settings?
no
Nope never
try clicking on it
Btw it’s back here after resetting
now just do the things i said before when we got here
Will be the B option if this doesn’t work lol
Again with this message
do you have the windows 11 box
Nope I don’t
Let me send a video of what happens
try to click upgrade
the option before u had this
send an video if it works or image
makes sense, you can't upgrade from USB
Lol thank you, it’s incredible how I am just unlucky 🫠
try unplug the usb and then install
Thank you as well for helping me!
@pliant mica
does it work without usb?
ohhhh
Now we got this screen
lets try my options first, if it doesnt work, ill ping toad again
from google
So, what should you do when a media driver is missing on Windows 10? You might notice that the USB installation media is booting properly. However, the installation process is not successful due to a missing USB hub driver. There are various reasons why this error occurs, and here are some of them:
Corrupted ISO media or DVD drive
Malfunctioning USB drive or port
Missing USB or DVD driver
Unit uses Serial Advanced Technology Attachment (SATA) instead of Integrated Drive Electronics (IDE)
im going to use google because i ran out of ideas
is that ok?
@pliant mica
Sure thing, if you’re able to translate what it tells you that’s completely fine
I try myself but can’t just understand some terminology and logic
Before you can even try fixing the issue, you have to ensure that your computer meets the requirements for Windows 10. Moreover, you should update your BIOS before you initiate a clean installation of the operating system. Listed below are the minimum system requirements for running Windows 10:
RAM: 2GB for 64-bit or 1GB for 32-bit
CPU: 1GHz or a faster processor or SoC
HDD: 20GB for 64-bit OS or 16GB for 32-bit OS
GPU: DirectX 9 or a later version with WDDM 1.0 driver
Display: At least 800×600
is secure boot on ?
Should be if I remember correctly
W11 needs 4GB of RAM minimum iirc, and a TPM module so a supported CPU
got the wrong windows
You can try to re-plug the USB drive to fix the problem. Try the steps below:
- When you see the error message popping up, click Cancel.
try turning it off and see if the install media sees something
i got some ideas
if not, go in the bios and see if your drive's detected
Wait let’s follow Benelux first just because of order
I’m already pretty noob with tech, mixing two infos is worse
You can try to re-plug the USB drive to fix the problem. Try the steps below:
- When you see the error message popping up, click Cancel.
Plugged again but won’t work
click cancel if you see the message
If re-plugging the USB drive doesn’t work, you can try another USB port:
-
When you see the error message popping up, click Cancel.
-
The Windows installation will return back, then unplug the USB drive from your computer.
-
Plug the USB drive into another USB port. If you have the USB 2.0 port with your PC/laptop, try to plug the USB drive into the USB 2.0 port.
-
Try to install Windows again to see if it works.
@pliant mica
Let me try
afk
Back here
It’s a daunting loop
2 hours in, I just want to make music in my life lol
is the bios in UEFI or legacy mode ?
yeah
Ok so whats going on
hes trying to install windows 11 but he doesnt have a driver
I thank you for your support, I’m sad to just be the unluckiest person ever, this pc has been delayed, now it’s not booting, lol
you have to buy a driver or gett one i think
Huh
Where did you get the Windows 11 ISO
this is such a troublesome bios, it's not one i'm used to see
i'm more used to the "classical" kinds of interfaces, grey and blue
says EFI USB, so it's in UEFI mode at least
but the lack of driver's weird
This kind of thing right?
yeah, a bit more familiar to this kind of interface
Secure boot is disabled btw
the SSD is detected in BIOS, secure boot is off, it's most likely in UEFI
why isn't it working, definitely should
Idrk
I’m a musician and don’t really know much about tech
Like, why can’t I just start the stupid pc and make music 💀
Wait
Sure, I’ll take a coffee to drown my sadness with caffeine
Do you have a second USB drive perchance?
I do
You wanna suggest he redoes the USB ? Or he gets the driver for his Intel SSD ?
I'm looking up something rq
Thank you guys. I lost more than a week of job for the delivery delay, and I’m not stuck with this pc I can’t make to boot 🥲 I’m psychologically suffering this situation a lot as it’s a very difficult period for me and your help is more than very appreciated right now.❤️🙇🏼
Lmk if you need more details
What I’m understanding is that I’m missing drivers: are those downloadable from Lenovo/Microsoft’s websites?
Probably, but you might have to jump through some hoops to get the drivers to work
I can figure it out rq if you give me a few.
Sure ping whenever :)
I’m scrolling the options trying to find some solutions (which I can’t obv find but might help you with troubleshooting). Just saw this and thought about sharing
I extracted the driver from the setup EXE, just give me a minute and I'll send it here
That probably won't help; it's an issue with the ISO missing the Intel Storage driver
https://drive.google.com/file/d/1kW2546d8naL9gHMATd5mBcdlR0zN40-F/view?usp=drivesdk Got the driver uploaded.
Extract it to a folder in the 2nd USB drive
Alright, now get back to the part of setup where it asks for a driver and insert the 2nd USB when it asks you to load a driver
Hold on, click OK and then click Browse
Click on "19.3.0.1016" and then click "OK"
Yes
Doing some work 😍
You can’t imagine how happy I am about seeing a light at the end of the tunnel
Shall I click next again?
If you're ready to install Windows, yes.
I think I am
Lol, I mean, idk if there’s anything else to do before booting a brand new pc
Well, not really.
No problem
did it work?
usb is just a flash of the dvd btw
stop pinging me man
