You are already told what to do...
Best of luck!...
yea i just made this to keep the record up you know ...
@indigo yew
On stage 4
Currently
Didn't crash till now
My hand started getting cramps
okay done with the restart
nothing crashed
where can i lookup for the logs ?
@potent hedge see this is why i used to use throttlestop i dont know how to lower the temps though my thermals are a year old only
Modern laptop cpus can handle... high temps...not that it excuses them for being that high consistently!...
However...first confirm whether you see bsod...or any similar issue.. or not
Then we talk about figuring out to lower the temps!...
Ohkaay noted.
Okay
Yes it is finished
Where can I see that??
after it finishes, it will say something
@indigo yew see i already asked
what did it say?
Nothing it boots normally
It just said scanning and repairing 100% complete
Just that
soo
if your pc crashes again could you tell me?
because now we just have to wait
Okay
until something happens, because how else would we know if its fixed or not
Let's wait for it to crash again
Yea u r right
btw. The steps i mentioned are good for general windows bugs
because they check the system files for any problems and fix them, aswell as check your Disc for problems
tho chkdsk is optional
most of the time
Gotcha
@wicked totem whats the update?...any crashes?
Not yet... been using it since then...
No crashes nothing at any point...
tried playing any games?....
?
Having some major thermal throttling so had to change the paste... It's been 24hour since changed it... Still it's the same.. that's probably because these days it's around 45°C temperature at my place
so no bsod...or crashes?..during gaming?
Yes tried one AAA title and one fps intensive both worked well other than 95°C temps
Luckily nope
Absolutely nothing
no crashes
looks like you know the reason...of your crashes!...by now..
Not really maybe that Apex cheat engine did something and maybe throttlestop ...
Am I right?
yep!... both throttlestop..and EAC
always use throttlestop...with caution ...and becareful what you are doing with it...specially undervolting!
Yep cuz I thought it was something with high temps but it was not as I played today and it was peaking around 90-95 still it didn't crash
I've been always tried to be careful while using that but don't what really happened that caused such failures
it always comes with a risk...you can also try limiting the power...instead of undervolting....
looks like your issue is resolved!...you can mark the thread as solved....
You better help me with this
Suggest me what can I exactly do to lower the temps as much as possible while getting maximum frequency so that I can achieve maximum fps
unfortunately... you cant avoid high temps in laptop...during gaming..depending on ambient temp!...you will need to undervolt correctly...or the limit the power... but limiting the power will also reduce higher clocks...so your option is limited here!
