well it did not work.
If that can't, you need a complete reinstall instead
I wrote a guide about how here: https://cmdrkeene.com/how-to-really-reset-your-pc/
Or this discord chat maintains their own guide here:
https://msft.chat/wiki/installing-windows.html
u mean reinstall the full system?
Yes
If the easy 15 minute repair I sent didn't work, a reinstall is next
well for me its a joke honestly. After regular updates that I have, for the past 3 years of just enjoying my life with PC. It broke microsoft store that much, that I have to reinstall FULL system probably. just how? I mean. Its just loading and loading, every app like XboxApp etc etc. Has been removed as I see. How that even happened after regular security update?
Well you can do it or not I guess
ik. but for me reinstalling the full system is the last thing that I want to do actually. I have so many programs and games installed right now. i dont even have the other disc to copy the most important files.
If you don't have a copy of those files backed up somewhere else they're going to eventually get destroyed anyway. Updates go wrong, hacks and malware happen, power surges or power outages can destroy data, accidents happen. Not to mention burglary, theft, fire, floods, tornadoes, and more. And even if none of that happens, the average hard drive fails after about 4.2 years, often with no warning. You need a backup at all times, not just when you're about to do a reinstall.
I personally just keep everything I really must never lose inside my \OneDrive folder so it's continuously backed up at all times. Then even if my computer exploded in a fireball I would never lose an important file.
And that means that if my computer ever has a problem, I can also erase it without a worry about losing any files and without ever needing to spend time making a backup (plus waiting until you need it before making a backup means that opportunity may not happen and you'll lose everything anyway, which circles back to the first point I made above: have a backup of important things at all times.
Games and programs can install again in mere seconds each, but critical files you care about should already be backed up ahead of time, at all times.
that part I know. but its so weird that if microsoft store fails, I have to reinstall full system for that. I looked up for some fixes in internet and i saw that I dont have some strings in services.msc or in regedit. so thats why for me its very ,,rare" and weird thing to happen during security update.
Are you are you actually did the repair I sent?
If that can't fix it, you need a reinstall yes
But that usually can fix it
This repair is as complete as you can get
Without impact that is
ye. I did it before you sent that. Computer restarted like in seconds and now this section is marked grey. ,,reinstalling now". I did it like hour ago probably.
Did you do it with the one-click button or with the media creator ISO file download?
one click button
Try alternative
It will fully replace your system services and registry files
All of the windows operating system and store
But without losing any files, apps, games, settings, etc.
I hope so. With my high luck, everything can happen.
Downloading the instalation proces (from the ,,tutorial" you posted up) for W11 will not affect on my documents, installed programs and other stuff correct?
The repair won't affect anything
The reinstall will lose everything
ye i mean the repair from the video I can see.
Yeah that has no loss
So. I did it. Everything works fine expect Xbox App. When I tried to download it, i got this error: 0x80073D05
