I have discord opened and an editing software and for some reason even though I have speaker audio selected on Bluetooth its using desktop audio. How can I fix this?

Go to your windows settings, under sound then scroll down till you find the volume mixer settings. Once you are inside, check whether the specific app that is causing the issue is fixed to your desktop audio.
Else not, you may want to open the control panel sound settings and reset the audio. Or you can just disable your desktop audio output device via the control panel sound settings.

It is likely due to the driver causing issues. You can try to reinstall the driver audio for your specific motherboard or Bluetooth driver if you are using your Bluetooth speaker
