if the modifications you made broke it and you can't put it back the way it was, I don't see much other easy path honestly. I guess you could attempt a repair install (mount ISO and run setup.exe). It's an in place upgrade so it incurs no loss, you won't have to reinstall anything afterward

Is this a prebuilt? If yes, you could try downloading the manufacturers support software like Dell SupportAssist or HP Support Assistant to check for updates
