You can't make an account without verifying you own the email address. So either the person at the other end of that clicked the verify like or it expired and was cleaned up later by stream

for activision in particular it makes the account first then asks you to confirm the address, thats what happened when i made the account on my actual email
and i think quite a few other sites operate the same way

They do. Steam won't let you make an account without verifying you can get email there
They delete it after you don't confirm it

that might be true for steam but the issue i had was with an activision account

Yeah that still sends you an email to confirm you have to click
So either someone clicks or it gets auto deleted later

either from the auto delete that you said or from my acc deletion request that i sent in
rn im just a bit paranoid and dont know if everything is 100% fine
