Okay so my Xbox controller will turn on my Xbox when I turn on the controller but after that there is no response. No matter what buttons I press or movements I make with the controller my Xbox will not respond. I even tried re-pairing the two with the pairing buttons and with a USBC cable but nothing is working. What do I do?

If it weren't paired at all then why would it turn it on?

try to update if there are driver that need to be installed or run this on cmd devmgmt. msc and see if it flags any error whit the diver or try to switch usb port
