I have been getting blue screens for a while now, seems to happen mostly when downloading large files, but also randomly at other times. Tried searching online and saw it could be an issue of RAM/Drive, checked those, both good. Ran DISM and SCF commands and those checked out as well. Even switched from WIN11 and clean installed to WIN10 and still getting the same issues. Its absolutely unbearable and I have no clue what to do. To top it all off, it is not writing the Minidump what-so-ever. Any ideas to fix this?

In order to better understand the root cause of your BSODs, hangs, or crashes, please answer the following questions.
1. What is the bugcheck code it crashed with? (It'll be something like SYSTEM_SERVICE_EXCEPTION or PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGED_AREA)
2. Is this the first time it happened?
3. Did anything change shortly before the BSOD occurred? (Installed some software, connected a new device etc.)
4. If repetitive in nature, how often does it happen?
5. What version and build of Windows are you on? (Run winver to check)
6. Have you made sure Windows and your drivers are up-to-date?
7. Are any of your components overclocked?
8. Is this a laptop, desktop or another device?
9. Has your machine encountered any impacts, water damage etc. recently?
10. Have you checked that your machine is sufficiently cooled? (Clearing dust, replacing thermal paste etc.)
If possible, please also complete the following:
1. Go to C:\Windows\Minidump and upload the newest .dmp file to the chat with your answers.
2. Open Event Viewer go to Windows Logs > System > Save All Events As and upload the .evtx file to the chat with your answers.
3. Open msinfo32, go to File > Export, then save and upload the .txt file to the chat with your answers.

if it does not write to .dmp which it shud by default then thats a drive issue
yup that does it
that's a whea with 0x10, meaning nvme drive issue
ye you got lots of wheas in here
looks like that drive
ive only got 1 drive so at least i know what it is now
its an NVME SSD, any way to fix it?
or just get a new drive?
tho check it using hard drive sentinel https://www.hdsentinel.com/
Monitoring hard disk health and temperature. Test and repair HDD problems, predict disk failure.
show smart tab
tho looks like it is not dying hm
https://www.ocbase.com/download/edition:Personal run this. Do cpu/mem stability check for 15 min on each instruction set @polar parcel
kk
CPU test came back with no errors
running RAM now
on each instruction set?
🤦♂️ i ran it on auto
let me re-run them again
itll take a bit lol
and actually shwo the logs on occt
Still running them
Okay, so all the CPU tests came back the same, no errors
memory? on each instruction set
also do dism /online /cleanup-image /restorehealth; sfc /scannow in an admin powershell
report the results
https://rog.asus.com/my/motherboards/rog-strix/rog-strix-x570-i-gaming-model/helpdesk_bios/
Your BIOS is
BIOS Version/Date American Megatrends Inc. 4021, 8/9/2021
the latest is
ROG STRIX X570-I GAMING BIOS 5003
Version 5003 2023/10/31
thats crazy, didnt knwo you could find that from logs lol
you tihnk that might be the issue?
since your latest BSOD is a WHEA, it's probably good to update BIOS first
what does WHEA mean?
the tests you were running shows no hardware fault so far
Windows Hardware Error Architecture (WHEA)
oh okay. how do I update my BIOS?
links given. it's literally the motherboard's manufacturer's site. the relevent resources are there
okay. updated BIOS, gonna try installing a couple games now to see if its fixed the issue
unlikely
0x10 whea is almost always nvme drive
and it seem like it is
if it were firmware or cpu it wud be a 0x0 whea
as expected
damn. why is it showing my drive as healthy is thats the problem?
something bout nvme drives
i always see whea with 0x10 with nvme drives that are healthy
go on and do a big file transfer lol
see if it whea again
I did ~50GB file transfer away from my PC and onto my server and that had no issues
more compression thingy
i actually dont even know any stress tester for drives lol crystaldiskmakr is a benchmarker so eh you cud try. But try redoing what you did that make it crash last time
ill try crystaldisk
currently installing a few games on steam rn, thats what made it crash last time
damn lmfao, just blue screened again

it is indeed that then
yep something wrong with nvme and windows lol
always happens on an nvme drive
good thing my nvme drive hasnt done that yet
is it an NVME and windows thing?
ye
or is my NVME just kinda borked in general?
0x10 p1 on whea is always nvme drive
like if i switched to Linux or something would still be screwed?
whea is hardware issue always
sure try
tbh i think its just with nvme and windows
dang that sucks
if linux gives you kernel panics also then yk smthn off with that drive
but else it is windows
and nvme drives in general
try it on linux @polar parcel
i wanna see
if its just windows thingy
Alr lol, give me a bit and I’ll let you know how it goes
Also just out of curiosity, would wiping the drive with like gutmann work?
