it's by design
the screws only have threads on the tip, so they stick together with the backplate
but you may have torn the threads on the other side to shreds and that's why it can't be tightened anymore
altho I see now you're not tightening it on the video
they won't come off, you're supposed to undo all the screws and take the backplate off, and the screws stay with the backplate
it's a very common technique, for those laptop backplates in particular
