hello?
??
@spring jetty is here for moderation
I would recreate a installation media to try rule out corruption if it
And check the boot order is correct so you don’t have to spam buttons to get into it
wot?
My apologies, I misunderstood your issue due to the phrasing
My pc does not open the installation media media file for 2in 11
I assume you're saying that the tool for creating an installation media, available here: Create Windows 11 Installation Media isn't running as you would expect?
can you provide details on your current operating system, what version you're using etc?
windows 11 8gb ram dell laptop
orignally was win 10 64 bit
but upgraded it
sorry, i mean it does not want to be open, and even if it does-which is rare- then it auto quits after a few mins
that is unusual behaviour - i would download the ISO directly and use a look like rufus to flash it to a USB
it is the same result, an installation media but a slightly round about way of doing it
Getting the ISO is fairly straight forward for windows 11, it is just available on their website: https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-download/windows11
For windows 10, it is a little more involved as it is only available on their mobile site:
- Go to https://www.microsoft.com/software-download/windows10
- Open inspect element (can be done by right clicking)
- Enable responsive design mode (looks like a phone and a tablet as shown in the screenshot attached)
- Change the responsive design mode device from the dropdown at the top of the window - you can select any device
- Reload the page and you'll be on the mobile site where you'll find a dropdown to select the edition of the ISO you want to download
- continue following that dropdown menu
Once that is downloaded, you go ahead and use rufus to flash it to a USB https://rufus.ie/en/
thnks
