I'm trying to dual boot my linux with windows and the windows doesnt recognize the drivers.

Error: No device were found. Make sure that the installation media contains the correct drivers, and then click OK.

I feel like i formatted my disk wrong.
I have a SATA disk with a ntfs partition -> didnt work

i tried GPT -> didnt work

im lost, searched the internet without a working solution.

some stuff i tried:

terminal output based on
sudo lshw -C storage

my drive:

*-sata
       description: SATA controller
product: Cannon Lake PCH SATA AHCI Controller
       vendor: Intel Corporation
(...)

I dont know if it helps, it says that the driver is ahci if you want to see the full message

Another dude had to install a driver for his nvme drive a little bit back, I sent as a yt link, not sure if that would help here

tribal vapor
#

#

sata mode is ahci

#

i could make it RAID mode for rst

#

RST is off

#

should i enable it?

woeful rampart

on linux there are some restrictions

#

i used belena etcher

#

and i tried bb too (linux shell)

#

I even used a different usb and it still doesnt work

#

same error

#

i checked on the windows terminal and it does show the disk

#

and it has a ntfs volume

#

did i forget something? what else can i do?

#

Is there a driver? I coudnt find one, not sure if it is needed

woeful rampart

tribal vapor
#

#

the usb is made on linux

it doesnt make a difference

woeful rampart
#

it does

#

most tools do not flash effectively than others..

tribal vapor
#

dude

#

are you shitting me

woeful rampart
#

no

#

that's how most tools works

tribal vapor
#

why does it work for others then

woeful rampart
#

that's why it's recommended to have another windows computer. As tools in another kernel/OS do not do it well enuf

woeful rampart
tribal vapor
#

ill try flashing the usb from my laptop then and try again

woeful rampart
#

windows have different things that usually only works in windows system

tribal vapor
#

that is windows

woeful rampart
