Hi, sorry to bother you here, my PC started to randomly shutting down today. It just froze up and auto restarted. I looked into events/logs and I found only that The process C:\Windows\system32\winlogon.exe (DESKTOP-IN-MUJ) has initiated the power off of computer (DESKTOP-IN-MUJ) on behalf of user NT AUTHORITY/SYSTEM for the following reason: No title for this reason could be found
Reason Code: 0x500ff
Shutdown Type: power off

It happens when playing game but I've played the same game since I build this PC. I have this PC for 6 months and I never had any issues 😦

My PC:
CPU: Intel i7 13700k
GPU: MSI GeForce RTX 4080 16GB SUPRIM X
RAM: Kingston FURY Renegade 32GB (2x16GB) DDR5 6000 CL32 (already tried putting ram out and back in)
PSU: Be quiet! Straight Power 11 Platinum - 1000W
OS: Win11
MONITOR: 2k 144Hz, G-sync

Could anyone help me please ? Is it PSU or RAM ? Or is there a way to find out more about this issue please ?

it could be a anti-cheat in games, I belive I saw this before, where it will shutdown the pc if It detects cheats

but it is running as kernal user, or nt authoirity/system

and it looks to be a part of winlogin, so that would be strange, but could be a part of that

I never used cheats in my life

I already ran diagnostic for RAM, no issues, I did 15 min GPU stress test, no issues, CPU stress test for 10 minutes, no issue, I'm loosing my mind here 😦

Also I checked all cables, everything is connected as it should be

#

If only there was some kind of tool or just something that would tell me more about the shutdown 😦

there is. Open up event viewer -> system -> filter current log -> in event id put 41 and ok -> give a pic of the latest event id 41 details tab and event data @livid pecan

ye it is having a memory access violaiton, either reinstall the game or deal with it if it's possibly a bug

only thing I was changing like 4 months ago was PSU, replaced with same, it was too noisy

i use a debugger called windbg, tho it requires u to know how windows works and it's functions and kernel, and u shud know how to read stack trace like a programmer do, and I'm a programmer in js and python

ok, thanks. The crash happend when raining started in one of pubg maps, I was just running and than weird screen image, like the game image but I could see little bit of spectrum colors in that image for just few sec and than PC restarted

seems like it, but I dont get why, when I was running RAM diagnostic test on windows, they were fine but whatever now I guess, they have 10 year warranty ..

ram diagnostic in windows have less test phases therefore it is sht, u shudve been using memtest86+
