Happened to me back in 2021 with an HP, your laptop is dead
Unfortunately
Are you sure you have placed everything back in it's correct place
I'm positive since i didn't touch anything besides and i mean besides the ram
If the ram stick is not seated properly that can cause this issue
is this right
Should be
Is the ram ddr4?
yes
Then i dont know what causes this issue, sorry
alright then :(
Did you change/upgrade the ram?...
only reseat
it didn't have any problems b4 the reseat, same thing happened when i tried to upgrade the ram but didn't find a compatible stick
same memory?...this shouldnt occur just because you reseat the ram...
well, i tried to unscrew the heatsink but the screws were stripped so i gave up, that shouldn't give any problems right?
I dont know..at least something should have come up in the screen... or any beeping sound... but I think you will need to get it to the repair shop ..if doing that caused it!..
most i could get was the power light immediately turned on when i plugged in the ac and this happens too
and dell support literally sucks
1 or 2 ram stick installed?..
if you are using one ram and it was the same ram it came with....then it is not the memory reseat problem...but originated when you tried to open up the heatsink..
I guess something must have happened..during that.... reseating a ram wouldnt cause such problem...
but you can try with another ram..if you have a spare
unfortunately I don't, i also could not find a compatible stick of ram in my town since there r 2 shops but I'll check again tonight
since it is dell... crucial memory are perfect for it..
it came with a kingston but off brand memories are more common here, unfortunately
i told my sister to buy an 8gb stick for me earlier, exactly the model that my laptop came with she has received it and only needs to post it (prob will get here before the end of the month)
I'll go to a repair shop to check just in case
well that will take a bit of time to come...you can and most probably have to go to a shop in the meantime!..
i doubt that these shops can find anything because they aren't that professional and i cannot go to another town (btw i got this laptop a week ago)
Unfortunate!... then you can pray it is the memory..did you try both slots?..
Why did you even try to remove heatsink?..
to replace the thermal paste because the cpu was throttling
I see...you had that cpu throttling problem earlier?...
well yeah but before it was getting really slow at low temps but now it doesn't throttle until it gets to 100c
the latter is true for new intel cpu... but the first part shouldnt be happening..
yeah problem was a power limit so i limited the max watt to 40w so it stopped throttling
I think you also tried to OC the gpu...which I think might have messed up the scheduling ..
yeah that too
