1st) On the side of my file explorer there's like a lot of these unnecessary file/folder/setting/control panel shortcuts, I remember enabling the control panel ones but I forget how I did. I only really wanna keep This PC and a USB hard drive

  1. My dad has this thing where he just disbaled the Wi-Fi for specific devices (my computer) we use Xfinity and he does it via the app (im 13 not 7 my dad is like really strict) so I was wondering if theres a way for my laptop to not show up in the "Connected Devices" tab. I think a VPN would be best but I wanted to see if there's any other options
    Thank you

TMac would work

#

There arent any Mac spoofer for iPhone

normal junco
#

woah that was quick, thamks

normal junco
#

mac spoofer got it

thorny acorn
#

you're welcome

normal junco
#

im on windows

thorny acorn
#

TMac isn't related to MacOs

#

it's about Mac addresses

#

it's an identifier for your network adapter

#

which is most likely the identifier your router uses to block access

#

if your network uses a whitelist then you're out of luck, however i doubt such is true

normal junco
#

so is there a guide i could follow? or is just straight forward?

thorny acorn
#

it's pretty straight forward

thorny acorn
#

download and install tmac

thorny acorn
#

or

#

maybe

normal junco
thorny acorn
#

have you recently connected a brand new device?

thorny acorn
thorny acorn
#

take a screenshot of TMac once you start it my memories foggy

thorny acorn
normal junco
#

should i run the .exe?

thorny acorn
#

what I'm saying is we're going to need to wait for the time your internet cuts out and spoof with TMac to see if connectivity comes back

thorny acorn
#

I think it's an installer

normal junco
#

js a normal instaltion wizard

#

one sec

#

its done

thorny acorn
#

oki go ahead and start it and send a ss

normal junco
#

okay i downloaded it

#

but like

thorny acorn
#

oh my God I'm stupid we have a way to check if it's a whitelist

normal junco
#

wheres the app

thorny acorn
#

uhh

thorny acorn
#

try pressing windows key

normal junco
#

ok

thorny acorn
#

and look in recently installed programs for it

#

or try typing out it's name

#

tmac

#

mac

#

stuff like thst idk what it names itself

normal junco
#

i found it

#

but if i search the name

#

its not showing

thorny acorn
#

did you type out the full techniium stuff

#

mistyped that

normal junco
#

yeah

thorny acorn
#

odd

#

perhaps reinstall it and take note of the install directory?

#

I'll be back in a minute

normal junco
#

alright

#

i got it, had to enable start menu program

thorny acorn
#

ah

#

makes sense

normal junco
#

no idea what info is sensititve so i blured out what i thought would be sensisitve

thorny acorn
#

okay so

#

whenever you press random Mac address

#

wait like 10 seconds

#

and try to visit Google

#

in ur browser

normal junco
#

mhm

#

now?

thorny acorn
#

if it doesn't work

#

press restore original

#

go ahead and press it

normal junco
#

alright

#

if it doenst work il let u know

thorny acorn
#

kay

normal junco
#

should i keep these enabaled

thorny acorn
#

yeah

normal junco
#

k

thorny acorn
#

hmm

#

try running it as admin

normal junco
#

it is 'o2'

#

kk

#

same thing

thorny acorn
#

I honestly don't know

#

I guess Google the error and try to troubleshoot

normal junco
#

alright

thorny acorn
#

I've never gotten an error in my experience with it

#

I hate to let you down haha

normal junco
#

il let you know if i fix it

#

thank you you have been so kind and respectfull

thorny acorn
#

so have you

#

you're welcome

thorny acorn
#

do you use ethernet with your pc?

#

for connectivity

normal junco
#

nope

#

wireless

#

ethernet is the wire directly to the router right?

#

@thorny acorn i got it, i had to select the box "Wi-Fi"

#

i think i was on ethernet

#

anyway

#

wifi doesnt work

#

i had to reset it

#

what does that mean?

thorny acorn
#

err

#

wdym by reset

#

like did TMac ask you to reset it with a prompt?

normal junco
#

i mean restore

#

sorry

thorny acorn
#

oh

#

so

normal junco
#

okay

#

wait

#

once i do clikc new mac address

#

it disconnect the wifi

thorny acorn
#

the random button swaps out your Mac with a randomly generated one, restore original changes it back to what it was before

normal junco
#

and if i connect to wifi

#

it works

#

with a new mac address

thorny acorn
#

I mean if the network thinks that your Mac address is different all should be good

#

only thing left is to test it

#

when you get a chance let me know how it goes

normal junco
normal junco
#

i have a new mac adress

#

it disconcect my wifi

#

but if i connect again

#

it works

#

with a new mac address

thorny acorn
#

oh i worded that wrong

#

I meant as in like see if it gets past xfinity

#

and the blocking ur dad has active

normal junco
#

oh alright

#

okay but if i change my mac adress what does that do

#

does it not pop up on my dads xfininty app?

thorny acorn
#

so it will show up as a new device

#

if your dad is tech savvy he might notice

normal junco
#

so the old device wont pop up?

thorny acorn
#

as in your old Mac address?

normal junco
#

idek why he got himslef the 14 pro max

thorny acorn
normal junco
thorny acorn
#

depending on where your dad looks

#

if you're wondering if TMac will impact any of that it shouldn't

normal junco
#

so Tmac is like a VPN for Mac adresses

thorny acorn
thorny acorn
#

vpns route your network traffic through their servers to whatever website you're trying to use

#

TMac simply tells the router that your network adapters ID is something different from before

#

it spoofs your Mac address

normal junco
normal junco
#

i have one more question

#

in my setings

#

if i go to advnaced wifi settings

#

i can see like 4 wifi things

#
  1. ethernet
#

2 and 3) Local Area connection 1 & 12

#
  1. Qualcomm QCA9377 802.11ac Wireless Adapter
#

does this mean im compatible for ethernet?

thorny acorn
#

if your pc has an ethernet port you're compatible for ethernet

normal junco
normal junco
#

my wireless network seems pretty good

thorny acorn
#

I mean if wireless is fine for you don't go out of your way to get it hooked up but if it's easily avaliable I would use it

#

ethernet is better than wireless because of the fact it's sent through the wire

#

and not through the air

normal junco
#

alright thank you so much

#

this might sound wierd

#

but i love u

#

have a great day

#

helped me a ton

thorny acorn
#

I wondered there for a second if it'd be weirder to say love you too haha

thorny acorn
thorny acorn
normal junco
#

@thorny acorn hey so i js checked on my dads phone and like my device still shows up

thorny acorn
#

did it work though?

normal junco
#

did what work?

thorny acorn
#

restriction
