I am trying to replace the ram in my asus tuf dash f15 laptop. I went to take the 8gb ram that it came with out, and it wasn't there. Just an empty slot. My PC shows there is 1 slot of 1 being used. So I put my new 16gb of ram stick into the empty slot. The screen does not show up. Even though it seems to turn on just fine. What could be the issue here?
Also it boots fine with the new ram stick out
The ram I bought is 3200MHz btw DDR4

In most laptops there is RAM under that sticker and one more empty or used slot where the sticker is able to be peeled off

I pulled it up, nothing was in there. That is where I put the ram.

I’m going to buy another and test it i’ll let you know.

I figured out the issue, I have 8gb already in the system but it isn't reachable since it's in the area where the graphics card is. I was using a 16gb stick. I am going to use an additional 8gb stick this time and see how it goes.

I was mixing ram sizes

So I got 2 8gb sticks
