In: C:\Users\User\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Edge\User Data\Default

Which files do I need to back up in order to be able to use the settings again during a PC change?

So what is the name of the file in which the settings are stored?

These files are not meant to be transferred. When you get a new PC, you should just log into edge again and all of your settings will show back up. That includes all of your saved passwords , history, form fills, bookmarks and favorites and your settings.

@lavish sentinel Unfortunately, it has to be done manually, if necessary also via the registry.

#

Unfortunately, I can't use the way to synchronize the settings, because I want to set up the Edge automatically via PowerShell. I wanted to do that by copying the file.

Good luck 🤞

How do you mean that?

#

@lavish sentinel why good luck?

lavish sentinel

It's not supported and the correct way to use PowerShell to setup things is using administrative policy not hacking registry in unsupported ways... So good luck with your journey

And without powershell?

#

How is it possible to transfer the settings?

#

Without synchronize?

You can set dozens of hundreds of administrative policies involving edge using group policy in a fully supported way

#

I can't help you do unsupported hacky crap, sorry.

No without sync

#

I can’t use sync

#

then no other way i know off sorry

#

Ok pity 😢 but thanks

#

You don't have to use sync to use the administrative group policy in a corporate environment
