yeah, how would one go about that, and would it erase my current data, as i want to disable it to dual boot ubuntu anyway.
There should be an option in the BIOS (Under the Devices tab > Intel Optane > "Start De-(...)"
Otherwise, it should be in the Intel Optane software in Windows.
This should not destroy any data, though it is better to make a backup just to be sure

im just worried as i think my drive is the intel optane, so wouldnt disabling it disable my actual hard drive?

Nope.. Intel Optane is simply a technology it uses. But it introduces problems like this
