exact issue:
when moving my cursor the cursor lags and stutters. it still gets to the same position but with how many dropped frames it has it's very difficult to bring it to the exact point i want to click. it's making general computer use difficult and frustrating.

steps taken to fix it and other info that might help:
using a bluetooth mouse, no wired mouse to test with and touchpad has its own issues so it's not a reliable test to rule out anything
it doesn't seem to matter how heavy the load on the system is it happens pretty much if anything's open on the computer (a game on high settings or just 20 tabs).
i tried switching browsers because i thought edge was causing it but edge is currently closed and i just have opera gx open with only three extensions installed so far (stylus, adguard, and tabliss).
i don't have a bad computer and it came with windows 11. i7 11800h + 3060 + 16gb ram
i recently cleared out storage so theres about 30gb free i think and no i didn't clear any system files.
definitely not a refresh rate issue because it happens the same on both my 60hz and 144hz monitors. these monitors are plugged in via a thunderbolt 4 hub from plugable

my computer functioning properly is essential to my mental health right now so i would really appreciate any ideas to fix this. focusing on solutions that don't cost anything first (ex: not willing to buy a wired/2.4g mouse before trying software fixes)

Do you have an HDD or SSD

#

That could be the problem

#

because once I had the same problem and found out my HDD had dust stuck inside of it somehow.

#

Ever since I use an SSD, the problem has never repeated itself

But i can say that i think your problem has to either do with heat or graphics drivers.

#

I had the same error, so i reinstalled windows, and it got rid of the problem

#

Have you changed the Screen hz in options?
