wait let me reupload
for me its showing
how about now does it work
sorry for the bad quality
sorry for the ping @river imp
does it load fine now?
yes
okay cool ๐
ok so first
remote desktop is per default disabled and is not a mandatory service
second
dont disable it like that
search in settings "remote" and there must be a setting "allow remote connections to this computer" and untick it
third
if you use a outlook account as windows account and didnt set a password manually for the current windows account , then a rmeote desktop session wouldnt work anyway
i tried to find remote its empty there is nothing there it says my window dont suppot it i need to upgrade
do i recheck it On what i disabled on the picture so its back on what it was?
i use a local account / no password
prob when setting again the tick and rebooting windows it should be back again
ok its not available
so its per default disabled
so im good i guess?
its impossible to login via remote when you didnt set manually an additional password ๐
yes you cant enable it( unless you make fancy things )
wait im 15 min away
okay thanks a lot for your help
i will enable it back as per default and not touch it again nor worry about it
the thing is that its a windows core feature
so its always "there" and you cant get rid of it
same with internet explorer
its deeply integrated
into the OS
okay this makes sense
but like if i keep it this way checked on like it was by default
and since this is not avaible
no one can remote access
but your windows treats remote currently as "nope i dont support it" as it doesnt make much sense on home edition
in theory you can enable it
as long as you dont set manually a password its impossible to remote access anyway in a workgroup
but what i dont understand since it do not support it why is this there
i guess i will keep it checked on as it was by default
i dont think anything bad will happen
for example you got a user folder somewhere with \internet explorer\menu\start menu\ there your start menu of windows is located.. in an internet explorer folder ๐
its deep built into windowsk, you cnat get it "out" its just securely disabled for the home edition
oh
thanks for explaining
this make a lot of sense
so its there bcoz its part of windows 10 OS
but technically its not in use
like its just there to be there
there is a windows toolkit folder where all core systems are located, in that you will find a remote desktop app and internet explorer
its there and non functioning.. like a car without fuel
its just i dont like to have screenshoot of windows otu there
to avoid uninstansial dox
im paranoid about such issue
maybe one little detail i forgot to check
but sure ill delete it tysm
typo
un intentional dox ( or in another word leaking information about me or my pc that i did not want to be show in the first place )
its like a private info about me show in a screenshoot without me noticing ( since i was open in discord )
like a part of email
apps i use
what i use on my desktop etc.
like i tend to try to cover my tracks so no one know anything about me online
im a very private person online to avoid getting hacked ( or make it harder to do so )
thats not how hacking works ๐
ye but if i dont install or click stuff
and dont share any info about me
windows, linux, mac, bsd are uncrackable from outside .. only stupid things you do inside the OS can make you "cracked"
it surely will be harder
i see
you for example spam bots who abuse weaknesses of windows 7 as there is still idiots around using it in the global network
you want to attack the masses
i tend to make it super hard to find my real name online using search engine
your image is allready stored in the discord history ๐
among other precautions
idm discord
but the average user
like help is done thanks for that when its solved deleted
