Windows 11

So I just recently switched over to windows 11 from windows 10. Some things have been better and some have been worse. One thing that I don't like is that, when I used to play videos and paused it using my keyboard or turning down the volume on my headset. It would pop up in the top left, but I have two problems with it. When I try to pause my videos or music, it doesn't show the name of the video or the album cover in the top left. Anyone know how to fix it? Also is there a way I could make it where I change the volume thing to the top left instead of at the bottom? Thanks!

this is an common issue. I solved it by installing a third party application called modernflyouts which does properly display music/videos and their respective covers. If you want to try modernflyouts you can get it from the microsoft store https://apps.microsoft.com/store/detail/9MT60QV066RP

Now I have one question, is this an extension. And if I wanted to turn it off/on, how would I do that? Sorry I'm new to this discord and I'm quite old as well.

Yes you can turn it off and on in the respective app

simply press windows default to switch back to what you are used to

to answer your second question, the developers of the program are currently working on hiding the bottom volume bar whenever you enable to use modernflyouts. There will be an update soon as they have acknowledged the issue on their github page

That makes sense, another question, does it always show up in the top left? And is there a way to make the volume in the top left look like the old Windows 10 volume stuff?

you can move it around freely and pin it to wherever you want it using the controls when you hover over it. To answer your second question, no it's not currently possible to mix and match

by default it always auto hides the player after 3 seconds of for example pausing your music

I'd say go install modernflyouts and go mess around with it. You can also make it so you can have multiple items show up
