I completely understand that unexpected issues can happen during new updates, but Season 8’s launch has been one of the roughest experiences so far.
First, the maintenance itself took twice as long as your team estimated, which already hinted that something was off. Once in-game, the stutters, frame drops, and random crashes make the game almost unplayable — this is actually worse than Season 7 in terms of performance.
Even worse, I've experienced crashes mid-race in a ranked GR. When I logged back in, the system counted it as if I’d quit intentionally, costing me RP. That’s incredibly frustrating and punishing for players when the fault lies with the game’s instability.
It’s been a full day since you acknowledged the Grand Race bugs, but there hasn’t been a real update on progress. The community deserves clearer communication and faster responses to serious issues like this.
At this point, every new season seems to bring more problems than the last — both in performance and stability. It honestly feels like the testing process before release isn’t catching the kind of load or traffic you should be anticipating. This is a popular, live-service title — it should not feel this unstable at launch every time.
Seriously consider cause its not even worth asking politely at this point:
-
Expanding the QA and dev support teams responsible for these seasonal launches.
-
Issuing smaller, weekly patch updates for stability, game performance, bugs, route discrepancies, and crashes instead of leaving it all waiting for major patch cycles. when new seasons launch
-
Improving transparency when problems are identified, you have a social media team and dedicated team using discord. Utilize them for God sake. Post on what’s being worked on and provide updated ETA's - this would help reassure the community.
We all love The Crew Motorfest and want to see it thrive, but right now, the experience is incredibly frustrating
