If this was a sim-racer, then yeah, I'd say this is a must. But this is still an arcade-racer, I highly doubt this idea will ever see the light of day.
Plus, this is Ubisoft we're talking about, so we all know they wouldn't be able to implement this without fucking it up somehow.
Also, elaborate on "driving consciously" 🗿
Why are so many trying to make this game a sim or what ever
Translated by Google:
I'm not saying we should turn The Crew Motorfest into a sim racing game, but rather add skill-based races for players who want to show off their driving skills.
Grand Race is fun, but it needs cleaner racing on closed circuits that reward skill.
This is not a sim game. It's an arcade racer where you race in open world, not in enclosed tracks/circuits. This wouldn't really work here. Also that system is not accounting for "no collisions" modifier. We need ranked but safety ranking is not a good way of implementing it for this game
28 players, narrow roads(1 lane in each direction) makes it impossible and it would heavily favor someone that started in the beginning of the pack. On the other hand if you start at the end there is big likelyhood you would crash multiple times even if you are good player. Also speeds you achieve are way higher than in regular track racing sims. The more you think about it the less sense it makes
