Better drifting mechanics

I know it's hard to implement in retrospect but please overhaul the drifting/countersteering physics so you need to properly countersteer

You can turn the countersteering assist on/off. Other than that I have no idea what are you talking about since you provided exactly zero details

Drifting is done by countersteering the right amount. In The Crew Games you always didn't needed to really countersteer like in real life, just always an adjustment. Compare the front wheels when drifting in TCM and Forza Horizon
