Hey, I have been working on a website to allow people to properly sharing photomode pics.
Currently it is in a beta phase as not every features is present. Which will be made painfuly obvious when seeing the upload page. But it is functional to the basic levels

I would like to gather some feedback weather the browsing is fine, and what info you would like to see on the page, or what filters. to add to the browse page.

Currently only motorfest pics are permited, but later on both TC2 and TC1*(lets go TCU!!!)* pics will be allowed.

The page: https://thecrew-community.com/
You first need to log in with discord to see the upload button under photomode.

  • The upload button has been reworked since first public release.
  • Any of the 3 games pictures can be shared, simply select the appropriate game
  • vertical image formatting broken

the upload button is a bit hidden. Once you log in it is present under the nav bar

The filters for the photos are good but add spaces between the words to make it more neat

#

Otherwise it's good

#

I'm just curious but what would be the place holder be?

ah i needed that for testing css. But probably a "Profile" button. Some other things

Tried uploading a photo on my phone but the "upload" button never allowed me to click it, it just stayed as a darker shade of white. (I'm on Android)

got to wait for this to stop scrolling and show as green

Alr I'll give it some time

tidal juniper

what is the size of the file you are trying to upload?

Working good for me. Can we make suggestions here too?

#

if so: Quick like button on the browse page that appears upon hovering over photo? that way dont have to click into the image to like it

#

Quick back button upon clicking a photo. as of now have to use either browser back button or go back to photomode>browse

#

last one for now and this one is maybe a bit out there - but comments? could be hard to moderate

so if I'm already signed into discord on pc, would it auto sign in?

safe ivy
#

No, hasn’t for me

i just believe that having discord as a sign in on a website seems unsafe

feral vector
#

I mean it's pretty common

cerulean knoll
#

i understand that but sounds risky and im afraid if anything happens to website, it can possibly be leaked

#

or unknown to how account can be affected if breach was to happen

tidal juniper
#

Same with all of the "login with google" buttons.
Firstly it is easier for many, and secondly the small Web builder doesn't have to worry about figuring out how to store passwords securely

hmm alright

#

but thanks for clarifing

I went back in to see if there was anything I thought was nitpicky and I noticed whenever I back out of a photo it brings me back to the top of the page instead of keeping me where I was, not sure if this is the case on computer but it is on phone, nitpicky ik but just thought I would put it out there

i noticed that when submitting uploads, it causes a huge network stutter and takes around 30 seconds to post even if its 500mbs internet ethernet

  • Fixed likes filters, by mistake all were set to be the same

  • Fixed likes filter naming to be with spaces

  • Filters are now persistent via URL parameters. Reloading does not reset the filters

  • [BUG] Due to how css is set up and how vertical images are rendered, it is a mess. Will adjust css later to to show images differently
