But we all know someone bumping into another car will just have a 5 or 10s penalty, which ultimately isnt fair when you take someone out during that race + a PU is ruined and thus penalizing the team a second time further down in the season with grid penalties
At this point just make reinforced cars and slightly bump everyone in the race like "oopsie wasnt on purpoooose" and force anyone to change cars all year long

Replacing Carlos with a way older driver just to pay astronomically more, while you already have a faster driver that is in position to fight for titles whenever rest of the team gets their shit together. He "left" for McLaren twice, except he didn't as Ganassi first held him to his contract and then on second occasion he also changed his mind. This is too far in advance, Mercedes has a contract with Lewis, there will be some drama if they decide to properly defend this.
