You probably already know how chaotic it is, so I'll just cut to the chase. (If you don't, just check it on Youtube, it should be self-explanatory.)
The Grand Races are fun, as they are, but I think we can agree that it needs some changes, to say the least. Here are some of my suggestions:
-
Non-Contact Start: A non-contact start ensures that all players have a fair chance to get away from the grid without being hindered by collisions. 25 seconds is a reasonable time frame for this, allowing sufficient space for everyone to spread out.
-
High-Speed Collision Prediction Mechanism: Implementing a system to predict potential high-speed collisions is a smart safety measure. This could help prevent situations where multiple cars collide in a chain reaction, leading to chaotic pile-ups. By providing warnings or taking preventive measures, the game could enhance safety during intense moments.
Overall, these races should remain full-contact, as they were meant to be in the first place, but we still need this. With these, in my humble opinion, the Grand Races would be a lot more enjoyable and fair, without disrupting their entire core value.
