#F1 2023 QATAR GP
1 messages Ā· Page 1 of 1 (latest)
Aw now I have to stay up late to watch the race
Same.
Yeah thankfully for me aswell
šæ
perez finish p2 and end it. idk whats he doing
Well it looks like that Max has already the chance to win the driver's championship
Heās leading the constructors by himself
yup xd
Heās probably gone next year ngl
Perez has won the drunk driving championship however
RB are prolly looking for someone for that second seat now
Perez Pendejo champion 2023
Sad fact, Lando Norris now holds the most amount of points (543) without a win. Overtaking Hülkenberg that was at 540.
I don't really care about lando however Oscar though is too good for a rookie.
Oscar will win a race quicker than Lando imo
Imagine honestly..
Lando still has more race pace but fck Oscar is srsly riding brilliantly as a rookie
3 more points i think
Probably
lmfao
Am I missing a reference? Or is this just some weird list
how much damage drivers did
Did maxās 200k come from the wing damage when he came out of the pit garage in one of the races?
Donāt remember when that happened tbh
British gp
Ah right yh thatās it
Assessment of each application was based on sporting, technical and financial analysis - Review process included sustainability and positive societal impact criteria - FIA concluded that Andretti Formula Racing LLC will proceed to the next stage of the application process to enter Formula 1 from a list of four final applicants in Phase 2
Time for FOM for commercial discussion.

Canāt wait
At first I was annoyed another American team wanted to be in f1 but now Iām glad
Most of the teams when Andretti will try to join
Lol
Do new teams get help to develop their first car like in moto gp?
I assume that excludes ground effect
obviously
Youd be surpised how often something is "obvious" but in the end turns out to be "but you see, we thought..."
That doesn't sound good.
Size reduction is definitely a good thing tho
Could do more tho on that aspect
Ig with the deformation cells and shit like that it's not that easy
It aint as good if the cars will just be slow.
The only thing they came up with that consistently helped overtaking through different regs is DRS. Yet they want to get rid of it for some reason.
"without the use of artifical aids"
i have no seriously clue why
Well, quali tomorrow
sprint formats are always the worst
So if Lance leaves F1 how likely it is that Lawrence will sell the team?
99%
I hope he won't, the whole team is getting a new factory thanks to him
They will find a way around especially Red Bull
Just donāt let Adrian Newey draw the car with his good hand and weāre good
Lol
Iām genuinely wondering if red bull are going to be dominant in the new regs
Maybe mclaren or Ferrari might get handle of them
Maybe not Ferrari but yh
I mean itās better than old sprint format
But yes three days of f1 in a row is too much for me
Prediction: Verstappen gets pole for race. Norris puts up 2nd with Leclerc 3rd.
Sargeant just better š¦
Looks like Perez's chances are starting to fall off imo
How's the Quali so far?
Only now?
The usual.
Oh okay.
Maybe
average perez quali
š
Replay wasn't over the line.
Replay we were shown was def not enough to warrant deletion, has to be something else.
yh
š
Well Aston bout lost to mclaren in constructor
1 car with lesser pace vs 2 with greater pace, of course.
Norris nooooo
clown fiesta moments
Nah he did cross
talking about the mid interview drop
with all the money there, can't do it properly
It's over

how many laps before max is in first
Oscar P1 for sprint
W tbh
LFG
Imma say 4
3
3 or 5
Do you think Grosjean might come back if Andretti joins F1?
no.
They might look for someone with experience though
You need to look into IndyCar and see that they're not on good terms lol.
nope
but i would like to see colton trying in f1
Donāt follow it at all lol but fair enough
Basically they're ditching him early.
Was he bad ? I heard otherwise
Ay sprint starts
Oof, Lawson's gone.
oof
rip
What beautiful stuff
Another one out. :(
obligatory sargeant fuck up
Sargeant really shooting for that quick retirement.
At least it wonāt cost much to repair that car xddd
dam norris vs alo was pog
Unlike any battle that involves verstappen and Hamilton
2022 š
Oh well reliable engine at Ferrari
ah
Yeah
russel w
It only broke like 10 times
norris lfg
OH.
perez moment
max is now wc no matter the finish
I DIDNT SEE NOO
Perez Pendejo of the year
Racing laps today come at a premium.
lmao
BURNOUT REFERENCE!
looks like ocons fault
Ffs what happened now
Good shit Ocon.
nooo :(
Blockon
fym squeezing he didn't open the steering at all
Damn Hamilton had the best seat to watch this crash
fr
Hamilton just chilling behind being like ''Give me those 3 places thank you very much''
rookie vs champion
wasn't first russell run also on a sprint race ?
crap, im late to the sprint
lmao yes you are
and i've just seen some chaos
common piastri w
wtf is albon nooo!!
Piastri wins & Verstappen world champion!
Letās gooo verstappen didnāt win
debatable lmao
does it count as a career win ?
idk but still common piastri w
W
Piastri based.
i need me a mclaren phone case now
Damn, first year first win
bro albon overtook alonso where did that come from š¦
Norris has been here for years and not won yet
LET'S GO PIASTRI WOOOOOOOO
love thsi guy
His first year was extremely lucky
Im glad it went this way.
no way the monaco based youtuber does the post race
Also, apologies if this has already been posted but wtf
bike kerbs
that a joke?
not that i know of
if you look closely there is no spine tho it's a flat surface
it's only a vertice (i think that's the word)
it's still fucking idiotic
wtf
I think that's the weirdest part of the race
you mean the man himself who beated lewis hamitlon back in 2016 with equal machinery on the last race of the season?
as much as it is, from a safety standpoint you need to keep hybrid tracks suited more towards bike than f1
yoo the edit
That's a cool graphic
tracking was mid but the overall thing is pog
but that's kinda bruh cause then Verstappen would've had 11 wins in a row šæ
Floor says bye bye
Apparently they did have a 10m 'Track Familiarisation' meeting, where they requested the revising of Turn 12/13 Kerbs, which are the above "Pyrimad Kerbs"

I wasn't watching
ah
Itās ok no one reads Wikipedia anyways š

What a shitshow. I can't believe they signed that disaster of a track for so many years.
lmaoooooooo
bruh
Pirelli
also
Pirelli
Most of the guys on the grid dont have the tyres for a 3 stop tho
Or if they do it includes a soft and that shit only lasts 10 laps
Even 10 laps is a generous estimate too.
This track aint real, let's just forget a race was supposed to be there
they were starting to struggle 3-5 laps in that was with safety car intervention
actually multiple safety car interventions lol
Canāt wait for tire blowout galore
lmaoooo
Can't wait to see how that goes
Miami as well, it's literally a scam zone
Also apparently, any car who disobeys the 18 Lap stint will be immediately disqualified
yeah it said so in Faiz's sent tweet
Ah, didn't see tht
Bro fia are morons

Ferrari looking like rookies as per usual ig.

TAKEDOWN!
Great job Mercedes.

imagine explaining this without context
WTF
he speaks the language of tires, long stints only from him
albon pitted and now he's p15

Norris 1.8sec pit stopš¤Æ
season record lfg
holy shit
Pogger.
i can now be taken as a mclaren fan and not a delusionist
what did ssargeant do ?
Unwell.

Perez better start looking for a retirement home cause this performance is embarassing
Perez helping to shut up the "bUt ItS JuSt tHe CaR"
Max Verstappen wins!
and without track limits breaches
And McLaren double podium once again!
There was no vote yesterday but piastri driver of the weekend is deserved
another succesful mclaren podium
Race results:
to think i hated this guy at first
Who, lewis?
yea
šæ
because mclaren didn't win the race
But they got the most points I thought thatās how it was decided
it's not about the points
oh ok
It's the total points across all the races
Additionally Red Bull wrapped up the constructors last race iirc
He meant that on the podium is one more person from the winner team taking the trophy
Ah, no that's the person who's in first
Whoever wins the race, their constructor gets the trophy on the podium
I thought they meant the Constructors Championship
McLaren's getting closer to AM.
Verstappen: 7 + 26
Perez: 0 + 1
RB: 34
Norris: 6 + 15
Piastri: 8 + 18
McLaren: 47
it is inevitable
Aston Martin fell off hard after the first batch of races
And update: Perez got +5s, so both Alfas are ahead of him.
Initially thought they were a contender but we saw that did not manage to even remotely happen
Here they come
Great place and track to race at, clearly.
jesus, just shows how bad it was, these guys are top level athletes that go through way more than the average person does and if they cant handle it then it was too much
in the summer months, when it was nearly 40C I went through quite the torture at work - physical job outside with a vehicle with no AC, 2 litres of liquids gone by midday, another 2 by the end of the work day, go back home another 2 by the time I go to bed, thats 6 litres, F1 driver sweat out 3 litres in an ~2hr race
Yeah that intensity is insane.
I've been out all day every day for weeks under the sun when I was younger, and it doesn't even begin to compare to losing so much so quick.
Not even news anymore. Itās as good as done. 5th for AM
Even if they'd tune up the car somehow it would be still done, cause Alonso would have to 1v2 more often than not, with Ferrari and Mercedes mixed in with up to 4 extra drivers depending on the track to make it harder too, while McLaren got the edge on all of them in a few recent races.
McLaren need pretty tragic blunders to not get it.
Apparently Ocon threw up a bit in his helmet by lap 15, Stroll collapsed right after the race, Albon too
Damn that qatari money must be so good for them to continue to go there next year :' )
#weraceformoney
The problem isn't the track but more the time they go there
The track is shite too, it's annoying at best with all the track limits penalties and overall bland look as if corners were copypasted onto a flat surface.
^
The track is made in such a way that you have to absolutely push it to the line, and it's really hard to judge out the car.
Even from cameras slightly above that we get to see it's hard to judge and we need to see cameras outside the car to really know.
And then on top of it to "police" it all they got curbs that straight up damage the tires and did kill some cars in the past too, amazing track.
Yeah but they can't change them because bikes go there so they have priority
It's not like there are any features on this track to really love it so much to tolerate this, it's fucking featureless outside of all the mess.
Should've kept it to bikes only
Hey i have an idea, dont go race there then lmao
Kyalami when
There's already 3 desert tracks in the region
Bathurst when

Dont need a 4th that is subpar compared to the other ones
When our Sport Division sorts theirselves out
Gotta love insane amounts of sand even slightly off line.
i swear
We can't even sing our own National Anthem so we wait to see if we even get close to a Grade 1 track
I want to see f1 on the other portugal track
With like 3 hairpins
Whats it called already
Even that track was more memorable, yeah.
Still remember most of it despite the years, yet this bullshit we just watched I can barely piece together cause it's so bland.
I wonder whats the track i want to see f1 on the most
I'd vote for Malasiya just to see current gen cars at such a track.
Send pic i forgor
Korea is the other track I somehow remember still, but it was a disaster for not just the track reasons iirc.
Lance Stroll driving down the straight and his head bangs from left to right. After the race Stroll said he passed out in the car, in this clip for me it looks like he wasn't really 100% conscious. This race was aā¦

Whether or not this is actually the case, it's still bad af
Overtaking, drama and incidents aplenty as F1 signed off in Malaysia in style...

I can't watch I'm in class lmao
He threw up twice
damn i only saw once
Yh

Tbh i question whether stroll is 100% conscious every weekend even before the race so idk if thats anything to go by.
All time F1 record ez, so he can hold something atleast
Im confused though, i thought recent regs were meant to (almost) stop sub2s pitstops, how is 1.8 suddenly possible again
Teams just getting better and better at hitting all the steps exactly at the right time.
šæ
maybe get tuscan and turkish gp in instead of qatar and miami
ah man, mugello is such a good track
would love to see it to return
We will be working with @F1 to avoid a repeat of extreme conditions such as those experienced by drivers during the #QatarGP
https://www.fia.com/news/fia-statement-competing-extreme-climatic-conditions
š 79
Means jack all as long as this track is allowed to stay as is
Tf they gonna do build a giant air conditioning system around the track
dont give them ideas, they're able to do that unironically
theyre gonna exclusively run these dog ass tracks in winter, so either start of season or end of season
That would reduce travel costs and emissions a bit because Barhain and Jeddah would be closer
The emissions is marketing BS anyway.
Very enviromental how we treat tires in F1.
That doesn't mean that cutting down some is pointless
Less is less no matter what
Also tires get recycled at least they don't throw them
It's marketing BS mate.
Yes it is important, but they don't really care for it. They care that people start looking at the absolute minimum what they can do.
If they really cared for it, the calendar would actually look way different, among other things.
Theoretically it's possible to be on alternative fuel already, but that's expenses nobody wants to make.
It's all about money.
Alternative fuel that emits a crapton of waste when being made so it's as bad
It's like EV
Ev don't emit but the manufacturing is worse
wdym, EVs will save us
Aw, I was about to post that.
bridgestone:
At least you have the chance to decide where you get your energy from to run this process. Yes, with energy from a coal plant the whole idea is pointless. But when green energy is used it is pretty close to a closed circle. Well one could still argue regarding the emissions and recourses to build said green power sources, but still itās a step towards a better direction. On the other hand, as you pointed out, EVs always have that questionable recourse problem and on top of that could be also powered by energy from some good old fossil energy sourcesā¦
