That's not how scheduling works
They plan everything including shorts months or even years ahead. The scheduling is very odd because both finales, for both seasons 1 and 2, didnt even stay in their original dates, they were delayed. The season 1 finale was originally meant to air in December 2022, but actually aired in March 2023. The season 2 finale's delay wasn't as bad, but still a 2 week pushback (although this PARTICULAR delay was because they also delayed Primos, and Primos was a factor in that finale).

So like, they've most likely made several new shorts by now even if we haven't seen them, whether by themselves or within chibiverse

IF it was renewed, of course. But even if chibiverse isn't, they'll still make chibi tiny tales. They released new ones very recently.

• Temple Frogs is actually really cool and I related to it somewhat despite not being of Thai heritage myself
• Adventures in Catsitting is a guilty pleasure and was a much better way to introduce the Plantars to Earth over Hop ‘Til You Drop
• Although Turning Point, The Core and The King, and The Three Armies could’ve been full 22 minute episodes, the former two work well enough to the point where it’s only a rather small nitpick
• All In and The Hardest Thing carry S3 by a country mile, and the very last episode seriously makes me cry every time I watch it now

Just to be clear, you guys, I don't hate Amphibia.
I just hate Season 3 and how it spat on and half-assed everything that was built up in the first two seasons.

Let me be completely honest with you

Now that I’ve finished rewatching The Owl House, I’ve kinda leaned away from defending Amphibia with my life, especially since I’ve been in an Amphibia Discord server where I get to talk with others about the show

With both of those concepts in mind, I can see part of why Season 3 is flawed, as all these adventures with the stakes at hand can feel unnecessary and tasteless (mainly Season 3A imo, though 3B outside of the last 3 episodes has issues too)

Don’t get me wrong, I still don’t hate Season 3 overall, I love quite a few episodes from it, and the goodbyes still get to me…but even as I still will not FULLY agree with you, I can now see some flaws in the show which may align with some of your thoughts on S3

For me, I can see what you’re talking about when you said TOH handled stakes better in just three episodes, and on top of that, as much as I still love the finale, the Guardian unfortunately sort of feels like a Deus Ex Machina that should’ve either been explained better in that wasted Mother of Olms episode OR…just scrapped entirely and we get an extended scene of the Calamity powers as well as a reunion scene with the families on Earth

So uh, I've started watching Amphibia for the first time recently. I think I'm on ep 17 of season one, so I'm gonna drop my little theories and thoughts so far.

-The blood moon is gonna be important. Unless their moon is normally red lol. Regardless, it's gonna be important.

-HP isn't going to be the one to reveal what the music box really means/does and it's gonna add some drama when Anne finds out he could've told her something. (Plz don't spoil what it does)

-I wasn't expecting there to be toxic friendships mentioned so early in the show lol. The stuff Anne was dropping about trying to appease your friends just so they stay your friends, and then Sasha hinted at potentially being a bit manipulative with the other two. Can't wait for all that to come to a head later on.

-I definitely like the slow burn that's been happening so far. It makes the little sprinkles of foreshadowing that much better for later episodes when it probably becomes relevant.
