IC 1101 contains one of the largest black holes currently known, being weighed 40-100 billion times larger than our Sun. IC 1101 itself is also an outlier, being one of the largest galaxies at 400-550,000 light years, and containing many trillions of stars.
This planet, a cool marine terra 82% alike to our Earth, is situated in at a location where the galaxy's central black hole dominates the sky at all times, so much so that the brightness of it's own star is dwarfed by it.
