Summary: Ring particles appear to be rendering improperly
Description: Ring particles seem to have a rendering issue where they're strangely divided into 3(?) pieces.
Steps to reproduce: Go to a planetary ring and view the particles.
Actual Result: Ring particles are rendered improperly and split.
Expected Result: No splitting. Particles look like normal chunks of ice/rock.
Reproducible: Yes, though it seems some ring systems have it worse.
GPU:AMD Radeon RX 6750 XT
GPU Driver: 25.11.1
Version: 0.991

Another issue with ring particles, they seem to be illuminated on the planet-facing side and not the star-facing side (This screenshot is zoomed in)
I'm at the exact system you're describing, and things appear to be working as intended for me, even at different graphical settings. Can you send a copy of your se.log? This may be a Support issue.
(Mag limit blown up so the dark part of the particle shows without affecting colors)
How do I do that
Locate the SpaceEngine Directory:
Open the file explorer on your computer.
Navigate to the folder where your Steam games are installed. The default path is usually:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\SpaceEngine\system\
If you have installed Steam or your games in a different directory, navigate to that directory instead.
Find the se.log File:
Inside the SpaceEngine folder, go to the system subfolder.
Look for the file named se.log.
It may appear as just "se" if you do not have windows set to show file extensions
Post the se.log File:
Right-click on the se.log file.
Select Copy from the context menu.
In Discord, right-click in the text input area and select Paste.
Click the Send button (or press Enter) to upload and send the log file.
Hmm, I'm not seeing anything wrong with the log
I'm going to pass this along to Mike (he's out for the day, but should be able to look at it tomorrow). He has a better eye for logs than I. This could be an AMD issue. Either way, more eyes will take a look at this~
In the meantime, be sure to check your drivers and ensure they're up to date, and/or try clearing your cache:
-Navigate to the <Steamapps>\common\spaceengine directory on your computer.
-Delete the cache folder
(This forces SE to rebuild the shader cache)
Can you send me a exact location where these screenshots were taken? you can do this by saving it as a place then using the share button.
Sorry, not gonna be able to use SE for the next week or so. The body these were taken at are listed in the screenshots though I think
We are looking into this.
Oh yeah clearing the cache did nothing
From my understanding the lighting is a quirk of how SE handles the vast amount of tiny objects. Disabling fast temporal rendering in settings may improve it but not totally give the desired results.
