Does this happen with no mods installed?
Ive got a powerful rig as well so ik its not that
have not tested that yet but im suspicious that thats what might be happening im just wondering if anyone else has seen this before
let me check right quick
still lagging with no mods
i see in your screenshot you have the planet editor open? does this happen on any unedited planets?
yes
and can you post a log
Locate the SpaceEngine Directory:
Open the file explorer on your computer.
Navigate to the folder where your Steam games are installed. The default path is usually:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\SpaceEngine\system\
If you have installed Steam or your games in a different directory, navigate to that directory instead.
Find the se.log File:
Inside the SpaceEngine folder, go to the system subfolder.
Look for the file named se.log.
It may appear as just "se" if you do not have windows set to show file extensions
Post the se.log File:
Right-click on the se.log file.
Select Copy from the context menu.
In Discord, right-click in the text input area and select Paste.
Click the Send button (or press Enter) to upload and send the log file.
yeah I still get huge frame drops from procedural objects as well that have cracks
This log is full of errors from mods relating to planets. you may need to unsub from the mods and do a full reinstall to make sure nothing left in a bad state.
Due to the way workshop works sometimes disabling is not enough to prevent loading.
Some of those look like my own objects that ive made but since removed
that could be it. although the biome errors are what seems to be the most concerning. i would recommend a reinstall.
Follow the directions below to return SpaceEngine to its original default state
Backing Up Saved Locations:
-# This step is optional and is not required but if skipped you will lose your saved locations.
- Before uninstalling, if you want to keep your saved locations, navigate to <SteamLibrary>\common\SpaceEngine\config.
- Locate and back up the places-user.cfg file.
Uninstalling SpaceEngine:
- Right-click on SpaceEngine in your Steam library.
- Go to "Manage."
- Select "Uninstall."
- Wait for SpaceEngine to appear gray in the library list.
Deleting the SpaceEngine Folder (if necessary):
- Navigate to the <Steamapps>\common\ directory on your computer.
- Delete the SpaceEngine folder, if it's still present, if not Continue to the next section.
Reinstalling SpaceEngine:
- Double-click on SpaceEngine in your Steam library, now listed in gray.
- Follow the installation wizard's instructions to reinstall the game.
