#Furry Warrior: Solo Shuffle Video Feedback/Review

GET TO WORK
you need to stop pressing your abilities with your mouse, you literally have them bound
you send bladestorm when warrior has dbts up
you send bladestorm, and instantly cancel it after you get pulled by druid's vortex
that's a no go
bladestorm is one of your biggest dmg cooldowns
you should use it mostly for dmg
you can't be pressing your rotation with a mouse man, like at 7:35
and again, you instantly cancelled bladestorm there, why?
HOnestly I wasn't aware I was doing that, or how I did it xD
I'll keep it in mind tho
That's because I used to have my mount button on C, changed it right before the match. otherwise it was on x, which I never press anyway due to habit.
All my Function buttons are bound to my mouse on side buttons
fair enough
It's got 7 buttons, hence the range
1 minute in
Before you continue, how about the classic structure of "Good Bad Good" structure of feedback? 😄
It's just feedback, I go straight to the point, I don't hold back, but I'm not trying to be an ass
Actually, it does help to know the positives.
first of all and I'm sure it's been mentioned already, opening with Bladestorm and clicking your abilities
You should switch from clicking to pressing them; bind your cooldowns to a button that's easy to press. You want to be quick and fast when using abilities, trying to locate them with your mouse and clicking them is not good unless you have God's hand and can move your cursor super fast
What about targeting then?
That's the only time you'll use your cursor or when moving the camera (assuming you do that) to change your positioning and what not
Thank god I dont need to rely on a intricate keybinding for that then.
There's an auto target keybind that's on by default
Tab targeting
that lets you switch targets quickly
B R U H
?
I suggest you to bind leap to another button because tab targeting is a good alternative to switch targets on the go
Keybind your stuff to buttons that are easier for you to reach and press
I'm open for suggestions of keyboard layout.
even if I have to reshape my hand as well.
Number one rule and I SERIOUSLY CAN'T STRESS THIS ENOUGH, unbind your S key and bind it to an ability or something else that's not walking backwards
You're a warrior, not a hunter
You don't backpeddle, you go in
You don't run away, you move a different direction
Fair point when you put it that way. What should S be used for instead?
i use for victory rush
Use it for something like, I don't know, an ability you'd press often. Hamstring, for example
Or Victory Rush, yeah
S can be used for roleplaying city stuff; just dont hit it in pvp ever ;p
plenty other keybinds you wont need it
You're gonna need macros as well as keybinding your abilities and said macros
Well for macros I have my RAWR (Reck + Ava),
For STUN I use
/cast [nomod,target=target] Storm Bolt
/cast [mod:shift,target=focus] Storm bolt
Impending Victory
#showtooltip Impending Victory
/cast Impending Victory
/cast Gift of the Naaru
I'll send you some basic macros
#showtooltip Charge
/cancelaura Bladestorm
/startattack
/cast Hamstring
/cast Charge
This lets you Charge if you're far from your target, will use Hamstring if you're in melee range; cancels Bladestorm if you need to Charge out of it
#showtooltip Victory Rush
/cleartarget
/targetenemy [noexists, alive]
/cast Victory Rush
will use victory rush on the nearest enemy instantly but dont spam it lol
#showtooltip Charge
/cast [@Mouseover, exists, help, nodead] Intervene
/cast [exists, nodead, harm] Charge
/cast Hamstring
can add in cancel bladestorm but this one with intervene added is a lifesaver
Use this macro instead, it's way better than what I just sent
gonna actually yoink it myself
i yoinked it from bajheera :P
Wait, what does Aatos's version do exactly?
if close, hammstrings, far, charges, and you can mouse over teammate to intervene to them
all in the same button
Sounds like I could very easily misfire with my mouse tho
Knowing me and my habit of using the mouse, that is
my man
well it wont hurt to try it out
I'll try tho
i never had it misfire idk :p
Add in /cancelaura Bladestorm at the start of that macro
Will cancel Bladestorm if you need to charge an enemy or intervene an ally you mouse over
Didn't I just get cussed for canceling BS in the first place tho? 😄
You didn't even cancel it
Fury Bladestorm lasts 3 sec
it looked like you did but that's just the duration
What you did wrong is that you opened with it and you used it without any imminent demise stacks
You mean I should only pop BS when it's glowing?
So, just so I understand correctly, that macro from Bahjeera is so that I would cancel a Bladestorm that's not hitting anything anyway to get back into melee range of my target, alternatively to my healer if I use my mouseover?
if you're within melee range
That could solve some of my issues with staying in melee range, true
I'm just sceptical about me breaking my mouse habit
That macro should entirely replace my default Charge, right?
I'll place it where I usually have Hamstring on my mouse then
And where I had charge, I'll place Leap instead
So I had people calling my UI cluttered
Care to explain?
Normally it's better to have a less cluttered UI/smaller elements. There's a lot going on in PvP and you're more likely to get confused with all the clutter on the interface
Okay, if you look how my UI is currently set up, what would you change?
based of the video, that is
I'd get rid of the big buttons on your action bars; make them smaller by resizing the bars or the UI altogether
There's an option in graphics that lets you change your UI scale
Well I made the upper bars larger intentionally, just so my eyes can see the glowing better when Rampage is up.
That's it, really
Otherwise I'll keep forgetting its ready to pop
I don't know how people otherwise notice when procs are up.
The glow is easy to spot
Otherwise there's an effect on the screen that literally tells you that Rampage's ready to be used
This effect
i dont notice it either
it lights up on the hotbar
ye
I'm trying to find out if this is a special proc of Rampage, or if it's just everytime I have enough rage to spend it?
It pops up everytime you have enough rage to use it
Not because of a special talent upon it or whatever?
But it also fades away after a while, which made me think I was losing a proc for it.
It fades away once you use Rampage
or if you lose the rage for it
or after you reach the rage threshold required for it
Wish it could remain constant until the first two conditions
that's where experience comes in you'll dps roation without thinking in time
because even if I keep rage to max, it goes away and I go blind for not checking my rage bar
Do this: everytime you see it on screen, use Rampage
Press your bind that casts Rampage each time you see it
it'll become second nature before you know it
Get the feel to your binds, get used to it, understand your abilities, the basics and what your class does
then take it out for a run and learn it further through matches
One last macro:
#showtooltip Avatar
/cast Avatar
/cast Thunderous Roar
/cast [stance:1] Battle Stance
/cast [stance:1] Berserker Stance
/cast Recklessness
/cast Sharpen Blade
/use 13
This is your burst macro. It will cast Avatar along Thunderous Roar and Recklessness. It will swap you to Berserker Stance if you're in Defensive Stance. /use 13 will use your on use trinket on your first trinket slot (assuming you have a badge trinket; don't put your medallion trinket on this slot otherwise, you're gonna need something to break cc afterwards)
Is it really wise to use trinket on that macro even if I dont have anything to dispell it for?
Seems wasteful
No, you're not using your medallion. I don't think I explained myself
This is your medallion. You don't use /use 13 if you have medallion equipped on that slot
You use /use 13 if you have badge equipped, which is this right here
Nah, keep this one. Both badge and insignia are good but badge is better for burst windows, insignia is for damage upkeep
And since you're using insignia you don't need /use 13 on your macro
I mean, does the badge make a lot of difference to the burst?
It's more consistent when you burst because you'll have the extra strength plus your cooldowns. Whereas with insignia you have to get lucky to get the strength proc during or right before your burst window
I do kinda prefer certainty over chance.
I'll try the Badge for now
The macro doesn't change my stance, by the way, when I'm on def
nevermind, I'm stupid.
I used the original Avatar lel
By the way, any smart way to utilize Bitter Immunity?
Do me a favor and don't use that
Anything is better than Bitter Immunity
I'd take this or anything else that lets me put a point into
How strange that BI is popular according to murlok then
i guess people like the extra desperate healing?
It's not good
Right, I managed 800k DPS on the dummy steadily, which is an improvement for me. I need sleep, will q more tomorrow. Will post another vid later
atta boy
6 rounds of shuffle was played, and 0 CC was cast on any healer
This is a pretty major flaw man
Your fear and stuns are just sitting there ready to be used
You're entirely relying on your team carrying the CC for you, it's not good bro
Yeah honestly first and formost no more clicking. Sit on a target dummy until you stop clicking. Use all your buttons, trinkets, everything like you were in a match.
Imagine you're in a match and you need to press these buttons while you hit the dummy, shadow boxxing.
Every time you click, you're not looking at your position or enemies but at your bars.
Fix this immediately.
Arti kinda summed up most of it in the top posts though.
and use intervene more*
No clicking, got it. Also I used to be more fervent with tossing my stun hammer on focus target, but I dropped it the higher I climbed, sadly. I'll rectify that
Okay, here's my 2nd vid, this is my first match the morning after I made the keybinding changes and added macros, so I'm still adjusting to the changes.
Now, before you hit me with hammers, a few things to bear in mind:
1: Yes, I kept prematurely popping Bladestorm out of habit, and I cringed everytime at myself for it.
2: I still sometimes fumble with clicking on my abilities sometimes, mostly because I don't get respond to my keys due to aforementioned adjustments.
3: I dragged the rounds WAY too long and I swapped whenever my target popped Def, I just tried to find any open target to burst on.
4: I tried to be more active with my Focus-CCs on the healer, with mixed results.
5: Teammates kept saying "Hunter" but my gut feeling tells me to train warrior or shadow priest. Good or bad call?
Anything else I should be aware of?

Made a third vid as a treat before I head to the gym, I think I did a little better this time, mostly fumbling with saving my teammates.

3 giga pointers here
Your CC is hardly ever used, there's a mistweaver standing on the same pixel as you doing dam for 3 rounds, and your shockwave and fear just sit there unused
Please get comfortable with your trinket keybind, and fast, because if you're gonna click it you may as well just sit the CC rather than trinketing the last second of a stun
You don't kill important adds ever, you let them sit or deal with them improperly. You can't fear a psyfiend, it has to die
play 100 games then post a vid, not 12 hrs later
Yeah don't do that
ok maybe not 100 games but gotta put in the reps lol
so to put into practice what was said a bit at a time i mean; it's going to be harder to try to do too much at once
All valid points, although I don't get the last part. What adds? I may just had mis-targeted.
Psyfiend, healing tide totem, static field totem etc.
You're just kinda chilling them out and looking at them
I should killd them, you mean?
yes
Huh. I used to ignore them and remove their nameplates because they cluttered my vision from the actual players, I wasn't aware that was a thing to do.
Do they share nameplates with beasts? because everytime I face a beastmaster, my vision is fucked if I enable the plates
It's right here on your screen bro
Yeah murder that thing immediately
