There are no cantrip weapons in Midnight Season 1, so crafting a weapon first is highly recommended.

  • Arms mains will eventually replace the weapon, though the only raid weapons drop from late bosses and the vault is RNG. Unless you feel lucky, its generally recommended to go for a weapon early and recraft later.
  • Fury Warriors may continue to use the crafted weapon in their off-hand for the entirety of the season.

Starting Midnight Season 1 Week 1

**First Craft - 259 Str Weapon with Hunt embellishment **

  • Use this to get an early boost and recraft it using Myth crests next week. Arms Warriors will eventually replace it, so use your best judgement based on how much you intend to play Arms vs Fury, and how likely you think you are to get an early weapon elsewhere.

Second Craft - 246 Bracers with Arcanoweave

  • You won't have enough sparks to make another epic item, but your second embellishment can be crafted onto a 246 Bracer using 80 Veteran Crests or 9 Galactic Gladiator's Heraldry (which can get an early socket if you can be bothered to PvP for it)

Upgrading / Future Crafts

  • On week 2 (Mythic week), farm M+ and recraft your weapon using Myth crests
  • On week 3 (2nd Mythic lockout), craft new bracers using two sparks. If you have free crests, put them into it; if you don't, use the free Heroic spark from the March on Quel'Danas quest. If you don't have either, just craft it at 259. This is also probably going to be where you put your first Vault socket.
  • If you're playing Arms, you will eventually replace your weapon with an Arcanoweave Cloak; do this whenever you have the extra currency and a natural Myth weapon.
  • Any future sparks can go into non-embellished crafts for whatever gear slots you're missing.
