Please note these are meant to be quick reference sheets. For more information on talents, gear, rotations, and more, check the #dps-faq and visit your favorite guide.
Mountain Thane vs Slayer
Thane deals only very slightly less single target, while bringing much more sustained multitarget damage, all without as much reliance on RNG procs or buff stacks that may fall off between pulls.
Fury vs Arms
Fury actually has very slightly less hypothetical max, though brings significantly more single target than any of the Arms builds.
Mythic+ Builds
It is highly recommended to visit one of the #dps-faq guides for the most up to date builds, but these should get you started nonetheless.
Mountain Thane
CgEAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAgGDjZMz2yMzMjZmxMjZMjZWmZGjZmlxMzAAAhB2glFjGzAysgZsAYGMGAMzAYYmZGMYA
- Thane is much more reliable, dealing respectable multitarget even without Thunder Blast procs, and bringing an almost identical amount of single target.
Slayer
CgEAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAgGDjhZ2WmZmZmZmxMjZMjZWmZGjZmtxMzAAAxYZZgFwEMDTgZYDwMYMAAYmxwMzMDDG
- Slayer is much more RNG, as Bladestorm CDR is dependent on Sudden Death procs, and Reap may or may not decide to proc when you actually want it to.
Other Talent Swaps
- Multitarget builds drop Enraged Regeneration for Improved Whirlwind, though Executioner's Wrath (Thane) or Meat Cleaver (Fury) are easy drops for it.
- Stance Mastery is an extremely powerful defensive cooldown, as long as you're actually using Defensive Stance. Thane should swap Crushing Force for it and Slayer should swap Barbaric, as needed.
- Rallying Cry gained a +50% buff in non-raid content, making it a much more effective cooldown.
- Intimidating Shout adds a little more crowd control, though the lower cooldown on Shockwave makes it somewhat redundant.
- If not taking Shout, either Fearless or Piercing Howl needs to be taken for effective pathing, but both are highly situational, so barring any specific circumstance, just take whichever you prefer.
