one thing i just noticed on ptr, if you switch to a shield from no shield, against other players you go from around 30% physical damage mitigation to around 40% physical damage mitigation just from the increase in armor (and you would still benefit from that armor increase when stunned right?) (maybe im just coping here though)

sure, but what are you gonna do against magical damage or bleeds, you're gonna lose a lot of damage by going to sword and shield, not being able to mortal strike will reduce your pressure by a lot
