Honestly the biggest reason I stopped actively PvPing, was all the stops that was implemented. PvP/PvE gear being two different systems. No value for time if you do both.

The complete split and axe of the two game modes, was not a good thing. As you can't invest into both.

If there is no overlap of value, time investment not respected. Then you get into the situation where the biggest and most preveliant mode wins out.

New players and candidates for PvP (the smaller mode) gets throttled. You get actively punished for spending time in PvP instead of PvE.

The playerbase shrinks, loops, then it dies. A slow process where more ppl slowly leave than come in.

It is only fun if you can win. As you can't use your gear effectively in both, you lose by partaking. So, you don't.

Not saying PvP isn't fun. It is. Yet there is a question of investment cost to partake.

Looking at more issues about PvP i would say the rewards are highly lacking in the lower brackets and there is too much of a discrepancy of rewards for rating.

Then we got the absolute WALL of learning PvP which is a fucking WALL of things to learn

I think better and more rewards, cosmetic mainly would attract more people
