Just a theory question about a dead Arms pvp talent. Would changing Shadow of the Collosus to reset C Smash/Warbreaker, but cut its debuff time in half be a balanced change to make it more viable? So, this would mean normal CS and Warbreaker would only be a 5 sec debuff (close to original origins) but able to be reset by charge. With Blunt instruments, it would make CS 7 secs (still close to origins) and with Spiteful Serenity, it would just make CS 10-11 secs, but since spiteful serenity reduces the strength of the debuff, a bit longer wouldn't be too bad even with resets, right?

I'm not going to pretend to be a PvP expert, but I don't find anything inherently flawed with the suggestion, except that it results in casting CS a lot more frequently
- This can have wonky interactions with ToM overlapping (which already happens occasionally in PvE, though probably isn't much of a PvP concern at the moment)
- It would greatly increase the value of In for the Kill/Warlord's Torment/anything else that interacts with CS
So, my main question would be "what's the design intent behind this change?"
- If it's higher CS uptime, I feel like that can be facilitated through already existing talents (like AM/Spiteful Serenity)
- If it's making Shadow a better talent, could that not be facilitated through simply making the talent better at what it already does, rather than completely changing it in a way that has trickle down effects on several other mechanics?
Not saying it's a bad concept, I kind of like the idea of Charge resetting CS, but it does not feel anything like a simple change

tldr - combat usually comes in small encounters of 3-6 enemies with varying enemy types, in confined spaces. you throw yourself at it a few times to figure out the most effective route/strategy while feeling badass and enjoying the music

Yeah Elden Ring felt too video gamey to me right off the bat too. Repeating dungeons, randomly thrown enemy placements, etc.. It's like everything people hated on Darks Souls 2 for just magically got a free pass in elden ring lol. Mods make it better but then you can't play online without a framework that has less players. Also the lore is really not strong in Elden Ring. You spend so much of the intro just being like "tf is this, tf is that" and just 0 explanation. I know you had to parse between the lines in Dark Souls but at least you started the game knowing a clear goal and learning more about what happened to the world each level. Fastest stationary rage gen but slight overall dps loss: roar, c smash, rend, avatar/bladestorm.
If the target is low on health or you want healing reduction, fit a mortal strike+sharpen blade between roar and avatar/bladestorm.
