Ehhhh pugging will piss you off alot. Try and find people in your server to play with. I found my healer from my server and met in a shuffle and weve been doing games on n off. Pugging people want a quick high and you lose once theyll sell you out for a bag of crack (aka dh)

War is powerful with ret or a dk this season. With freedoms or dk grips its the only thing you as a warrior can have with to deal with this caster meta so i highly recommend grouping with those classes

Was playing an alt rogue, saw a fury hit a fully geared/gemmed/enchanted ret pala for a 343k blood thirst crit. This is on top of the fact that the warrior who did the crit had a few greens including a green weapon and no sockets/few bad enchants, even weirder the fury was only playing 1/2 viscous contempt.

Armor changes couldn’t have made that big of a difference, I never saw past 250k even on leather/cloth with 2/2 contempt and full gear

fury doesn’t really need much haste, can giga-stack mastery
arms has a bit more flexibility, generally you want a lot more vers since your role is to be more of a tank. up to 40% is fine, DR is only -10% and the pp% on arms mastery is not very high
