If you're talking about optimal play arcane is the most difficult caster or one of the most difficult. Anybody can pick up arcane and mess around with it on low cr but to play at high level it's very difficult

in pvp arcane is very high skill-cap, but that's for different reasons

you're probably the squishiest mage spec but the highest mobility, which necessarily increases the skill-cap, you only have one spell-school (tied to your main cc) so getting kicked is significantly more punishing and mage is already very high skill-cap in pvp

Exactly. I picked up ww monk for the first time last season and hit 2.1k which I never managed to do on my mage. My warrior also got to 2.1k but it was a little more difficult than my ww monk

I do play fury though, I leveled up another warrior just to play arms this new season

You can't port on stun, basically can't press any defensive on stun so have to pre use or trinket. Karma can be dispelled by a lot of immunity like bop, turtle, rogue cloak, spriest disperse and so on.

They really need to do a tutorial, yes. I do not know what would be the best kind of tutorial, but maybe some kind of scenario where you join with bots and they make you capture the flag, kill the enemy flag carrier, stay and hold a base, etc.. Like Exile Reach but for PvP
