Know what cc your team has and make sure you’re tracking DRs. If you see an ally cc a healer/kill target then you bolt the other one. Earlier in the game you can use cc to stop enemy dps on bursts since it isn’t likely you’ll land a kill anyway. Once damp is up and people don’t have defensives start sending bolts on healer

It’s pretty situational tho sometimes ccing healer early can get you their trink and create pressure

I’ll check DR before throwing a bolt on my kill target, but probably need to pay more attention overall to what’s happening to the enemy team, who’s on DR, who’s got trinket, etc…to better set up kills. You can use it to secure damage (prevent somebody from moving/kiting or using a defensive), to stop their damage (stun them on their cds), stun the healer while you're hitting their dps partner, and then throwing it at the healer to stop them from ccing your healer

I should add I'm a casual 1800 player, I don't usually push much further than getting elite appearances. I played a few but was still a little rusty, but it felt like I was always significantly at less total health and getting nuked kind of hard.

Only reason I ask about gear is I vaguely remember some content creators in s1 mentioning gear not being super important. I have my crafted pieces and shit though.

if u want the ez way out go on murlok.io and check the warriors there with gear enchants and builds

yes u can try to be smarter and adapt but 95% of that is ok
