I use strife offhand, cloak, bracer, belt right now and i've used up all the strife i've gotten. For offhand cloak bracer it was about getting mastery pieces with higher ilvl than honor counterparts. For belt it's because i'm stuck with a haste belt for the next two weeks either way so might as well have higher ilvl belt.

It doesnt really matter if you have 100 grades for pass or 2 though. A could be 0.05%, B top 5% etc etc. Whereas the F and C (if both represent fail) could be the same % (65 or whatever it is)
Not saying it is, but a deeper comparison needs to be made
More grades for pass just mean you can make a difference between the top students or not
