Actually good healers/support players usually make the transition at a very high rating and or spend their practice time playing carry
Aka best League supports were mid mains or play ADC in solo-queue
Someone transitioning from challenger mid to support will absolutely smoke anyone climbing to challenger as support
Because if you play carry you actually have to understand how to close out a game. The average healer stalls and prays.

I mean the more they play, the more they will improve. They could also add a condition like getting at least 3/6 or 4/6 rounds won in order to receive the runes. Or maybe one rune at a certain threshold and then increase the runes rewarded by 1 for each additional round won.
